00:04Davis Fire District rescuers. This video was recently captured in a park in Utah.
00:09Icy temperatures caused a pond to partially freeze over, an enticing
00:13venture for Bob the Unleashed Dog. The animal wandered out onto the frozen body
00:17of water but at some point fell in, leading to a race against the clock for
00:21rescuers. You can see one of the firefighters using a ladder to make his
00:25way out onto the thin ice. He eventually makes it out to Bob but is forced to
00:29enter the water himself to reach the dog safely. Luckily the unnamed hero was
00:32wearing a dry suit, keeping him warm while he attempts to get Bob out of the
00:36water and onto dry ground. The rescuer hoists the animal back onto the ice
00:39where Bob simply shakes it off before returning to his owner. The firefighter
00:44followed suit, pulled across the ice by his fellow rescuers. The animal seemed
00:48fine and was rescued without injury but the North Davis Fire District issued a
00:52statement shortly after, urging people to be safe with their pets and their
00:56children as ice conditions are not as safe as they would like them to be.
