02:21Humanitarian organizations warn that on average every day Israel has killed five children

02:35And Palestinian Ambassador to Moscow Abdel Hafiz Nafal informed that the President of
02:39the Palestinian National Authority Mahmoud Abbas will participate in the next BRICS summit
02:44to be held in the Russian city of Kazan from October 22 to 24.

03:04They also condemned the constant bombardment of civilian infrastructure, the killing of
03:08children, women and health personnel, as well as the lack of access to drinking water, medicine
03:13and food.
03:14Meanwhile, in Lebanon, 31 people were killed after the Israeli shelling of residential

05:31Let's now take a short break, but remember you can join us on Tiktok as well.
05:38We will find news in different formats, news updates, and much more.
05:42We'll be right back, stay with us.
05:50Welcome back.
06:04Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro highlighted the battle against fascism waged by the Venezuelan
06:08people during a phone conversation he held Friday with UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres.
06:13During the event, the Venezuelan president expressed his concern for the advance of fascism
06:17and neo-fascism in Latin America and Europe, and rejected destabilization attempts against
06:21his country by the United States and the far right.
06:24Maduro also highlighted the expressions of hatred and violence that threaten the peace
06:28of the nation.
06:29The Venezuelan president also stressed that culture is also a weapon to fight fascism.
06:42There is a debate in the world.
06:43I even spoke today with the Secretary General of the United Nations.
06:47UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres.
06:49We spoke for about 15 minutes, and I fully explained to him the battle we are waging
06:53against fascism.
06:54We have to call it by its name.
06:57It is the devil.
06:58Let no one sugarcoat the expressions of intolerance, of persecution, which are typical of fascist
07:03projects.
07:04We have seen outbreaks of fascism in Europe, practically fascism, neo-fascism, and similar
07:09expressions.
07:10It is an incredible thing, Ernesto and Hector.
07:13It is impressive how neo-fascism, fascism, and its similar expressions are spreading
07:18in Spain, cornering democracy in Spain and in Italy, seizing political power in Germany
07:23with Nazi expressions, re-vindicating Hitler, and stop counting, and the whole international
07:29fascist and neo-fascist are targeting the jewel of the crown in South America, Venezuela.
07:42Technology and telecommunication affairs, Fidel Venn 2024 continues in Caracas, the
07:46capital of Venezuela.
07:47And our correspondent Gladys Quezada was there on its second day.
07:51Let's see.
07:55Activities, Fidel Venn 2024 continues to show the technological and telecommunication possibilities
08:01that Venezuela has in terms of telecommunications.
08:05The doors remain open to a diverse public that notices the possibilities of prosperity
08:11in the sector.
08:14We have and we can.
08:16There is enough technology and enough information and that gives us a chance to emerge, to move
08:22forward, so we have what we need.
08:28It fills me with pride that our country Venezuela has so much technology and innovation.
08:34We are at the technological forefront of the country.
08:36It is international and I believe that we go hand in hand with all the technological
08:41advances that we have had at an international level.
08:44Entrepreneurs of new brands or growing companies as well as for established commercial firms
08:49defer is an opportunity.
08:52Public and private sector join management in a growing market.
08:56It is not only us as the telecommunications sector achieving alliances or meeting each
09:02other because we also do it in our exchange rooms, but at the same time we are generating
09:07that space where to develop diverse economic activities and what is the growth of a sector
09:12such as telecommunications in a 12, 20 percent that always translates into the economy and
09:18the prosperity of a country, of course.
09:23Look at the road ahead.
09:24Whoever does not see these opportunities does not really work in the telecommunications
09:28market.
09:29It is as simple as that.
09:32We as QuickNet are making this bet.
09:34We believe in alliances.
09:36In less than 48 hours we have made five alliances with our potential competitors because there
09:41is room to compete, of course, with technology because in the end we all win.
09:46The more than 900 sanctions affecting the country since 2015 also impacted the technology
09:52and telecommunications sector.
09:55In 2017, Internet consumption was 0.5 terabytes.
10:00Today, seven years later, it is 11.1.
10:05Fidel Ven shows them a possible future.
10:08It is something that is growing everywhere, from having nothing a few years ago to now,
10:17that many text messages and calls to being able to talk by WhatsApp, by message, by video
10:24call all over the world just by pressing a screen.
10:27This is a great opportunity for the economy of Venezuela in view of the fact that technology
10:31is a reliable sample that has advanced quite a lot and continues to move toward the forefront.
10:36This second edition of Fidel Ven will dedicate its last day to technology and Venezuelan
10:41companies, those that see in the digital economy the prospect for a prosperous future for all.
10:48Gladys Quezada, Telesur, Caracas, Venezuela.
10:52That was a summary of the second day.
10:54Let's now go live to Caracas, Venezuela, on the grounds of the second edition of the International
10:58Telecommunications Fair as it continues bringing together entrepreneurs, big and small brands
11:02and technology enthusiasts.
11:04With all the details, our correspondent live, Gladys Quezada.
11:07Gladys, what is going on on this day of the Fidel Ven?
11:14Thank you, Luis, for this opportunity and this contact once again.
11:18This is the closing.
11:19This is the final day of Fidel Ven 2024, this second edition of the biggest event in terms
11:25of technology and telecommunications here in Caracas.
11:29As we have been reporting, this is a family-friendly, this is open to the public.
11:33But today, precisely, it has a free entrance for everyone who wants to come and witness
11:39the advances of technology and telecommunications and the whole sector here in Venezuela.
11:45As well as we have been reporting, today is a day just dedicated to Venezuela, intended
11:50to showcase the best and the foremost, the most brilliant companies, the largest companies
11:55here in Venezuela that provide connectivity and telecommunications services for all Venezuelans,
12:01as well as to form fusions and to form new alliances between this and other entrepreneurs
12:08and brands from all over the world.
12:10I have to say, today is, right now, having place the Tournament of Fusion, which is an
12:16opportunity for each one of these companies to showcase the abilities of their best technicians
12:23in fiber, optic fiber installation.
12:26And we were talking with one of the main, you know, sponsors of this event, and he's
12:32also one of the many, you know, professors and engineers that are preparing this event.
12:39And he was saying to us that this event is not only to do a competition, because it's
12:44a fair, a friendly, a fraternal competition, it's also a way to motivate Venezuelan technicians
12:50and other people who belong to the sector to go and migrate professionally to the fiber
12:57optic, because he was saying that was, or that is one of the markets that are called
13:01to grow in these next five years, maybe three to five years.
13:07So it is very important to promote this kind of activities, to be a spread voice about
13:15this kind of abilities and how people can incorporate themselves to be more profitable
13:20and also to help Venezuela to grow from the 4G to the 5G connectivity in speed and in
13:28quality.
13:29Also, today, there will be some tech talks or maybe masterclasses regarding how Venezuela
13:36has sort of difficulties and how to provide Internet for popular and maybe disadvantaged
13:43zones that need better connection.
13:45And also how to link education in the schools and in the universities as the most with this
13:53kind of events with connectivity and the need for better Internet in order for kids and
13:59for youngsters to learn better, because we have to say Gen Z, they are learning through
14:04Internet and through this kind of tools.
14:07So they need better and proper Internet in the learning facilities here in Venezuela.
14:14Right now, there is taking place this tournament, as I was saying, the day is expected to be
14:20longer or maybe the closing hours will be moved depending on the amount of people and
14:27the turnout of people that are coming in here to witness this.
14:31Also, let's recall, this is the last day, so it is expected more public and more people.
14:36I want to say also that today there will be maybe press conferences on the side of the
14:43big brands and the presidents of these markets, because they want to showcase their projects
14:49and how they have been enhancing their cooperation with other companies and all.
14:55As we recall, the first day, over 10 companies here in Venezuela were having mutual agreements
15:01in terms of technology, cooperation, finances, and one of the main topics and the main platforms
15:06that will be enriched after this fair is the digital economy.
15:11Those terms comprehend how digital economy is moving in Venezuela, because it's not only
15:19the currency, also it's needed the digital currency, the trade, the platforms for paying
15:25to the workers and for paying any debt or any services.
15:29And also the self-reliance in terms of finding services, because AI is providing this kind
15:36of facilities and this kind of easing for the people.
15:40So that's maybe in a resume or a summarizing what is going on here in this fair, what is
15:47going in FITELVEN 2024, which is one of the main events regarding technology and regarding
15:54telecommunications in Venezuela.
15:56And it is aspiring to be one of the biggest events in Latin America and the Caribbean.
16:02Now I'm closing this report, but we will be reporting in coming missions.
16:08So now Luis, back to you.
16:11Thank you, Gladys.
16:12We'll stay tuned for that to see the further reports on everything that is going on in
16:15this beautiful fair of technology and in pursuit of people coming on for this new approach
16:19to this new technology and to continue moving forward in the development of the country.
16:23For now, let's take a short break and continue with a short break, as we were saying, and
16:28we'll invite you to our YouTube channel at Telesol English and you'll be able to rewatch
16:32our interviews, top stories, special broadcastings and more.
16:35Hit the subscribe button and activate that notification bell to stay up to date on the

16:39Have a short break and go away.
16:45Welcome back.
17:00Around 600 parliamentarians from 73 countries demanded on Friday the exclusion of Cuba from
17:05the U.S. State Department's list of countries sponsoring terrorism.
17:09Through a joint letter coordinated and published by Progressive International, legislators
17:13called on their respective governments to take immediate steps to advocate for the
17:17removal of Cuba from the list.
17:19According to U.N. experts, Cuba's inclusion in the registry has undermined fundamental
17:23human rights, including food, health, education, economic and social rights, as well as the
17:28right to live, to life and development.
17:37And in Mexico, next Monday, September 23rd, a historic electoral process for the election
17:41of judges, magistrates and ministers of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation by
17:45popular vote will get underway.
17:47This was announced by the president of the National Electoral Institute, Guadalupe Taddei,
17:51during a press conference on Thursday.
17:53This is the first session of the electoral process after the recent entry into force
17:57of judicial reform that was approved by the Congress of the Union and more than half of
18:01the local legislators.
18:03The inaugural event will begin in the morning and will be attended by the 11 councillors
18:08of the National Electoral Council, delegates in each state and presidents of the local
18:13public electoral bodies.
18:15During this session, a temporary commission will be installed that will supervise the
18:19entire selection process of the country's future judges, magistrates and ministers.
18:29And in Brazil, the social media X stopped working again on September 19th after a court
18:34ordered it to stop using the service that allowed it to avoid suspension in the country.
18:38The network had become partially accessible again thanks to an update of its application
18:43and assured that the restoration was the involuntary consequence of a temporary change of server.
18:48The social media is again inaccessible after a judge of the Supreme Federal Court ordered
18:52the platform of Elon Musk to block new accesses to its application.
18:56The Brazilian Prosecutor's Office requested to open an investigation into users who took
19:00advantage of the breach on September 18th to promote attacks against the Supreme Court.
19:21On Friday, the Government of Honduras declared a green alert for prevention throughout the
19:25country due to a thaw that would leave rains for at least 72 hours.
19:30The Secretariat of State in the Offices of Risk Management and National Contingencies
19:34indicated that during the time of the green alert, the phenomenon, which could result
19:39in a disaster, should be monitored.
19:41Honduras is considered one of the countries most at risk from natural disasters, and according
19:46to the authorities, vulnerability in the country increased after the devastating Hurricane
19:50Mitch at the end of 1998, which also affected Guatemala, El Salvador and Nicaragua.
20:02In Argentina, more than 350 people were evacuated and several homes were affected as firefighters
20:07are working hard trying to tackle the forest fires affecting Cordoba.
20:11More than 300 firefighters, supported by water-spraying planes, worked this Friday to contain the
20:16flames in the vicinity of the town of Capilla del Monte, where the fires intensified due
20:21to the extreme drought and very strong gusts of winds.
20:25In addition, during the day, a man was arrested who was trying to start a new fire by burning
20:29grasslands and with gasoline.
20:31So far this year, 1,540 fires have been registered in the province of Cordoba, most of them in
20:38the last three months, with a balance of 30,000 hectares affected.
20:56And in Buenos Aires, Argentina, the documentary titled Tras Lados is presented, a production
21:01that reconstructs the plot behind the death flights of the last military dictatorship
21:05in the country.
21:06The director, Nicolás Gil Lavedra, explains that the documentary is aimed especially at
21:11young people or those who do not know that part of Argentinian history.
21:15The death flights were a method of execution implemented by the last civilian military
21:19dictatorship, which consisted of throwing political prisoners into the sea or river
21:24from airplanes.
21:25According to Lavedra, the documentary shows evidence of everything that is known since
21:291976 to the president regarding these events, narrating from the first findings to the judicial
21:35rulings that proved the crimes.
21:37With this we have come to the end of this newsbrief.
