00:00The United Nations temporarily suspended the delivery of humanitarian aid in Haiti due to
00:04the deteriorating security situation in the country. Humanitarian flights had to be suspended
00:09after the Haitian government decreed the closure of the Toussaint Louverture Airport. The decision
00:13came after criminal groups opened fire at an aircraft. The plane, with 48 people on board,
00:18had to be rerouted to the Dominican city of Santiago and subsequently JetBlue reported
00:24another attack against one of its aircraft. As a result, the UN had to delay the movement
00:29of 20 truckloads of critical medicines and supplies and is now contemplating
00:32moving its air operations to an airport in the north of the country.
