00:18In the last two and a half hundred years, India and Gyana have seen the same kind of slavery, the same kind of struggle.
00:35In both the countries, there was the same kind of struggle for liberation from slavery.
00:47In the struggle for freedom, here and there, so many people gave up their lives.
00:58Here, near Gandhiji, C.F. Andrews, the President of the East Indian Association, Jang Bahadur Singh,
01:13all of them fought together for the liberation from slavery and attained freedom.
01:23And today, both the countries are strengthening democracy in the world.
01:34Therefore, on behalf of all of you, on behalf of the 140 crore Indians of Gyana, I welcome you all.
