00:00Oh, it's a tremendous day. I would say it's pretty much what I expected, but on numerous
00:18occasions I get the idea that we've overdone it on so many levels. So it's such a great
00:23day and I'm so happy that the past years have made it, we've made it through. So knowing
00:28that creativity inspired by nature is our theme, we would just like to interconnect
00:33with the first of the temporary exhibitions and this is Xylopolis, City of Wood. So this
00:39is what the exhibition of one of Polish regions, Podlaskie region, and this is the perfect
00:44exemplification of what might come out of the connection between human nature, creativity
00:50and the nature itself. And this is going to be a huge thing for us. There are going to
00:55be at least a thousand events throughout the span of six months that we're going to
00:59be holding for both children, tourists, adults, as well as the business oriented guys. And
01:05we are welcoming all of the people here. So we are going to be having you not as visitors,
01:11but as guests.
01:12We want to see how we use wood in our economy, in science, but also how it plays an important
01:38role in our tradition and how we can look after it. But we also want to show the beauty
01:49of our region to encourage the entire world to come and visit.
02:01Well, we wanted to introduce a metaphor or show this dialogue between traditionality
02:10and modernity, how tradition and nature inspires us to develop the future. And wooden or timber
02:19construction is very popular in Poland, very traditional. So we thought that introducing
02:25such a way of sustainability building is very crucial these times. We never had such
02:34experience to design in completely different climates, but also we wanted to envision what
02:45is best in Poland here for UIE citizens, but also to the world, right? So this was the
02:55question what to show, what is best in Poland, how to present ourselves.
