00:00I'm really so attached and about the process that for me just being a part of the movie,
00:06shooting it, developing the character of getting into character, shooting the film, that's my prize.
00:15You don't need to be a cricketing buff at all and that was something very clear that I had in my
00:20mind when I was making this film. There's no way you can make a film just for cricket pups even
00:24though we have millions of them in our country but you can't make a film just for cricket pups.
00:29Ultimately has to be a human story. I think this movie's the backdrop is sport, the backdrop is
00:35cricket but there's so much more to this. It is about the triumph of the human spirit
00:42and you know just this incredible underdog story and journey of these incredible people
00:49who just had faith you know and had fun also along the way. Victory yes of course they wanted
00:57to win but I think it was also that journey, that time that they spent together with each other
01:03which I think even the movie captures so beautifully. We can't go by an actor's real
01:09personality and cast that person. That's where the acting craft comes in right. It could be anything
01:14in real life but that's actually where you also break stereotypes. Yeah, that's exactly how you
01:19break it otherwise you keep you know then there's the acting then you're basically telling them to
01:22be themselves but what I love about Ranveer's acting is I think you know take his four films
01:28they're not even the same human being. You take his last three four films and you feel like how can
01:33the same man be these characters because it's not only the physical transformation, the voice is
01:39different, the expressions are different. It's completely a different human being. I kind of try
01:43and unlearn just about everything I know. I try and approach anything new that I do especially
01:49character development, a new character, kind of like a blank slate. It's only then that you can
01:57achieve something distinctive in that process. I'm really so attached and about the process
02:04that for me just being a part of the movie, shooting it, developing the character of getting
02:10into character, shooting the film, that's my prize. For me the process is my prize and I
02:17am extremely fulfilled by that process so the fact that we're finally releasing and the trailer
02:22has got this response and there's all this anticipation all this is a bonus and in all
02:27honesty I really think it will be a special experience for the audience. For Romi Dev,
02:32she's just such an incredible woman you know and whatever time I get to spend with her and
02:38the anecdotes that I hear from her she's played such a such a silent but important role in his
02:44journey that we all felt that it was important to bring that to life as well. Yes there's a
02:50professional side, yes there is you know what they do on the field but I think their life off the
02:57field is equally important especially in their case because I think she played a very huge role
03:01in supporting him and his belief and his dreams and I think that was important for us to share
03:07with the world. The correct way to call this film, I'll just tell you one simple fact and then I'll just
03:11explain everything the team has still not seen the film that's how secure they are that that's
03:16how they have stayed away from in any way entering into the creative space. Three years ago they told
03:23us you are making the story and then we will see it when you bring it out to the rest of the world
03:28so you know if it was a commissioned piece they would have seen it two months ago and had their
03:31you know opinions about it the team has still not seen this film. We have planned a very special
03:37screening for them and I've got my tissue box ready. And they're still so united they don't want to
03:43watch it until all of them are together. So their couples have had the opportunity you know and a
03:48couple of them had the opportunity to watch it yesterday and a couple of opportunities before
03:51that but they won't do it they're all so connected even till they they're like no no no on the 22nd
03:56when the big premiere happens we all want to sit together we want to watch it together.
