00:00Almost 50 million pesos worth of illegal drugs were confiscated as dried fruits in Malolos, Bulacan.
00:12Five people were arrested and they have not been released.
00:15First news is from James Agustin.
00:20In a house in Barangay Tikay, Malolos, Bulacan, an operative was arrested by PDEA.
00:25The two women and three men were involved in a drug bybus operation.
00:29Seven kilos of shabu was seen on the phone.
00:32It has Chinese characters and a label of dried fruit.
00:35The drug is worth 47.6 million pesos.
00:38According to PDEA, one of the female suspects was previously jailed for a drug-related case.
00:44We noticed that she was returning to her previous job.
00:48During surveillance, we saw that she was still moving a lot.
00:54That's when the bybus operation started.
00:59According to PDEA, the area of operation of the suspects are Bulacan, Valenzuela, Malabon and Navotas.
01:05The sale of drugs is like a family business.
01:09Based on our investigation, they are related to each other.
01:14The girlfriend of one of the suspects is also like that.
01:17So technically, they are not just using small time inside.
01:23This is not a drug.
01:24So we really caught them as one of the drug smugglers in the area.
01:29We are still trying to get permission from the suspects who are currently jailed in the PDEA headquarters.
01:36They are facing a complaint of possession of a Comprehensive Dangerous Drug.
01:40This is the first news.
