00:00The IPL starts from the 22nd of March.
00:03KKR takes the lead in Saturday's match against Udbhadhoni.
00:06In Eden, the Knights will face Virat Pratipaksh.
00:09But from Wednesday, KKR will conquer the entire state of Kolkata.
00:13Wednesday was KKR's Unplugged 2.0 event.
00:17And it was from this event that Kolkata rose to the top of the IPL.
00:22Almost every team in the IPL, before the tournament,
00:26holds an event with the cricketers.
00:30There, from the jersey selection,
00:33the players are introduced to the cricketers.
00:36After 2024, the Knights' Unplugged 2.0 event was even more significant.
00:42The Knights were present at the awards ceremony,
00:45along with the dancers, singers and the crowd.
00:48Coach, co-chairman, mentor and the team's CEO, Prabhugam,
00:52were also present in the chat room.
00:55At the beginning, the Bengali I.R. Janan,
00:58was very happy for this support.
01:00KKR has given a reputation in the IPL.
01:03He said the environment at the stadium was great.
01:06Rahane Brabho, along with other players and the special guests.
01:18I look like a very good dancer as well.
01:20So you already shared some stories back in the days.
01:24But yeah, looking forward to this season,
01:26looking forward to a great campaign,
01:28and winning lots of games,
01:31and hopefully defend our trophy.
01:33It's a great honor and pleasure for me to be a part of this setup.
01:37Knight Riders is a team that is hugely respected worldwide.
01:42For me, when I used to play as a player,
01:44coming up against Knight Riders used to be a nightmare.
01:47So now I'm happy that I'm now part of the setup,
01:50that I don't have to go to bed and sleep,
01:53and think about Russell and Darren and these guys the next day.
01:57But again, it's a pleasure.
02:01You know, one of the most successful franchises in IPL.
02:05And also, we share a friendship,
02:09both here on IPL.
02:12I'm lucky to captain Knight Riders in my home country,
02:16in Trinidad and Tobago.
02:18We have lots of success there.
02:20So the decision, when the opportunity came from Venky Sir,
02:25it was an easy one.
02:27And I'm very happy and grateful for that.
02:29And I want to continue that legacy that this franchise has,
02:33and continue to make sure that Knight Riders
02:36continues to be a household name around the world.
02:39It's actually an honor to be called as a key player to this franchise,
02:43and a franchise as big as KKR.
02:47Obviously, it has a rich history and legacy.
02:51So if I'm being called that,
02:53then there's nothing more to be proud of,
02:55for me and my family.
02:59Along with that, I have nothing but gratitude in my mind.
03:03I've been shown so much trust, so much trust is shown on me.
03:07There's a lot of gratitude.
03:09And my IPL journey began in KKR.
03:12KKR gave me a big break in my life, I would say,
03:15not just my cricketing career.
03:17So it's my duty to pay them back,
03:19and I hope that this journey goes on for a very, very long time,
03:24and I am able to contribute for a very long time to KKR.
03:28The main event is announced through the music.
03:31Russell Rahane Rinkura is on stage with his new jersey.
03:35The KKR fans were filled with enthusiasm.
03:39KKR coach Odinayak said,
03:41KKR has to keep an eye on their mentor.
03:46KKR has the right to keep an eye on them.
