00:00Here from the floor, it's FMA Comic Con, Speedy Jr. here with Geek Culture Congress, and I'm here with one of the creators of a brand new comic book, which is called The Chronicles of Solaria.
00:10I hope I did that. I got it right? Yeah? All right.
00:13Peter Smith, right? Peter Smith.
00:14Peter Smith, welcome to Geek Culture Congress. Pleasure to talk to you today.
00:18Oh, it's great to talk to you.
00:18And give me the sales pitch or a quick rundown of your new comic book there. Let's show it off, too.
00:26So, Solaria is very much like a, it's, if you like Hellboy, you like Harry Potter, those type of adventures, imagine an adventure similar to that with a steampunk fairy tale twist.
00:40All right, very cool.
00:41So, what happens is I went back into a lot of the Grimm's fairy tale history and lores of the original origins of the characters.
00:51Like, in Solaria, Sleeping Beauty is actually named Princess Talia.
00:57Oh, very nice.
00:58And that was her original name in the 1626 rendition of Sleeping Beauty, which was called Talia, The Sun and the Starks.
01:08Then we have a mixture of original characters. The characters are over here. This is Cyrus Ravenwolf.
01:13Oh, I like some of the fighters and the robot there, without spoiling anything else.
01:21Yeah, there's a little bit of sci-fi to it as well.
01:25So, very steampunk sci-fi, though, so you're going to get into that.
01:29The book itself starts off to where Cyrus is the son of the Big Bad Wolf, and he is captain of his father's ship called the Black Ghost.
01:40Right.
01:41And he has a crew of pirates at work with him. They are actually hired to go into the kingdom of Aurelia and kidnap Sleeping Beauty.
01:48Nice.
01:48That's where the story starts, and then it escalates from there, and we'll get into the antagonists and things like that as the story progresses.
01:58Very cool, very cool.
01:59It's a very fast-paced event.
02:01How many issues are you into right now? Just the first one?
02:03I'm working on issue two right now.
02:05Should be out later summer, late summer, or fall.
02:08Very cool.
02:09Very good.
02:09So, if people want to grab issue one from you today, they can't get to here, it can't have a comic-con today or tomorrow, where can they get it at?
02:17They can go to trinsandfablestudios.com, and you guys can pick it up there.
02:22All right. Perfect. Perfect. Thank you so much for your time.
02:25Thank you so much.
02:26All right. Have a good one.
02:27You too.
02:27All right. Signing off. More from the floor of Tampa Bay Comic Con in a little bit.
