00:00Did you know that millions of cats are homeless worldwide, often due to abandonment or being born on the streets?
00:07Shelters are often overcrowded, so fostering or adopting saves lives.
00:12Stray cats can quickly multiply.
00:14Just one female can lead to over 400,000 descendants in seven years.
00:20If you're trying to adopt a kitty, try to approach with care.
00:24Move slowly and speak softly.
00:26Sudden movements may scare them.
00:28Tuna or wet cat food works wonders.
00:31Let them come to you.
00:32Always look for a collar or have a vet scan for a microchip.
00:35Use a carrier or cozy box with a blanket to transport them safely.
00:39As soon as possible, visit a vet to check for injuries, illness and vaccinations.
00:43Even temporary care helps socialize and prepare them for adoption.
00:48Rescuing a kitty is an act of love.
00:49One tiny paw at a time.
