00:00300-pound massage therapist Julia Rodriguez of Palm Desert, California was subpoenaed this Monday, May 12, 2025, for violently attacking local retail shop owner Stefan Riley.
00:18According to the store witnesses, she emerged at the store owner for calling her by the wrong name.
00:24Witness Carrie Underwood stated there was a history between the two of them and the owner called her Vanessa.
00:30Moments after this took place, Julia Rodriguez lunged at the store owner Riley and hit Riley in the eye with her iPhone.
00:37After hitting Stefan Riley with the iPhone, she began grabbing random objects around the store and throwing them at him.
00:43Riley, sitting on the floor in pain, covering his left eye, was yelling, my eye, stop, my eye.
00:49Finally, moments after this violent episode died down, Julia Rodriguez realized what she had done and walked over to Riley and began to ask, are you okay?
00:58Riley replied, no.
00:59Call a paramedic.
01:01After the ambulance had arrived, Ibn Riley was taken to the local nearby hospital and undergoing an optical full examination, it was discovered that Stefan Riley had suffered severe retinal damage and damage to the cornea of his left eye.

01:19Riley claims that there are blank spots in his vision where he can be staring at an object directly in front of his face and not see it.
01:26In addition, he can no longer read or make out numbers or letters with his left eye.
