00:00Looking back over the long six years I spent with you, it is very clear you had no respect
00:19for me.
00:20You said you would kill me with your bare hands when I was only a child.
00:27After hearing over and over how you said I was horrible and worthless, I cannot erase
00:32those messages.
00:34The physical torture beating me and starving me you inflicted was so painful that I prayed
00:42that night that God would either help me to be free or allow your souls to kill me.
00:49You worked the four of us to death.
00:52I would dream of being able to rest.
00:55Pain is something I will never forget.
00:59Only 18 years old.

01:04Human trafficking is extremely profitable.
01:07It's so profitable that we're seeing some drug traffickers get out of drug trafficking and
01:11into human trafficking.
01:12Human trafficking is something that we have never been without in the United States.
01:17We even fought a war.
01:19Everybody knows that.
01:20And there is an assumption that that indeed ended slavery.
01:23It did not end slavery.
01:24It did not end slavery.
01:25There are about 21 million people around the world that are being trafficked.
01:30I was seven when I was brought to the U.S. by a trafficker.
01:34He pretty much told my parents that he was going to give me an education here, a better
01:40life.
01:41You know, when we talk about this, we often talk about it as something that's very much
01:44hidden in plain sight.
01:45They typically think of human trafficking that they've seen in the media.
01:48Dramatized.
01:49Made huge on the screen.
01:50And that's really not necessarily how it happens.
01:52It is happening everywhere around us.
01:55Sex trafficking is the second fastest growing from our enterprise in the world.
01:59The girl that was up in the top bedroom, that's where he shot her in the face.
02:03At the age of 13, really didn't have anywhere to go.
02:05I was pretty much homeless.
02:06At first, of course, they treat you like a queen, give you everything you want.
02:10Slowly but surely, you end up on the bottom of the barrel, but still giving everything
02:14you make.
02:15If we were to give him all of our money, I had given every dime that I made.
02:18I'm a part of a film crew.
02:19I'm doing a documentary film.
02:20You know what I'm saying?
02:21I basically gave all my money to you.
02:23Have the cops ever come here for trafficking?
02:25I was extinct.
02:26But you do know that there's human trafficking?
02:28Maybe.
02:29All of us, all of us are victims of human trafficking.
02:35Every one of us could be one of them.
02:38We need all types of people to talk about it correctly and fully informed.
02:44This is just another civil right that we have to fight for.
02:48People are entitled to be free.
02:59Do what you do well.
03:00Educate the communities you're already in and you will make a huge difference.
03:15So first of all, thank you so much for speaking with us.
03:18And the first thing that I wanted to ask you is do you want to remain anonymous?
03:24No.
03:25No.
