00:00And with the recent disturbances caused by consecutive storms and the southwest monsoon,

00:05the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewage System, or MWSS, ordered the suspension of service

00:11disconnection activities of concessionaires Manila Water and Mainilad. The suspension is

00:16effective for 15 days from July 25 to August 8, 2025. Areas covered in the suspension include

00:23Manila's West Zone customers and the 23 cities and municipalities in the East Zone of the

00:30Franchise Area of MWSS, which is covered by Manila Water. According to MWSS, a clean, safe,

00:38and reliable water source is essential to protecting public health. Thus, the regional

00:43office instructed the concessionaires to ensure water availability for all customers.
