00:00forgive us we're still debating
00:04relationship wrong margarita is still on the top of our mind we'll discuss more of that later
00:10it's 7 a.m on the east coast and it's monday august the 4th and this is fox and friends
00:14so if you think you should have heard it all about the sydney sweeney at controversy think
00:21again even u.s board patrol putting their own spin on
00:30the jeans are back by the way and democrats still won't say if they want to see kamala harris running
00:52in 2028 as biden's allies warn her they could reveal embarrassing stories about the former vp
00:59if she talks about her former boss's capacity to lead i'm people still friend you will hear stories
01:07about kamala harris as vice president that will not make her look good wow plus pope leo gets a rock
01:16star welcome as one million young devotees gather for what's being called catholic woodstock fox and
01:25friends starts right now and remember mornings are better with friends and marguerite
01:31yes indeed so senate democrats allegedly tried to demand a billion dollar deal to fast track
01:41president trump's nominees before breaking for the upper chambers august recess mark meredith joins us
01:48now from the white house he's got all the details for us hello good morning mark
01:51santa charlie and lawrence good morning friends the senate is now out of session but lawmakers left
01:56town fuming with each other and it's all over the president's judicial and political nominees
02:01the white house is accusing senate democrats of stonewalling more than 140 people for positions
02:07within the government the gop claiming senate democrats are intentionally using parliamentary
02:12procedures to slow walk confirmations the president posting on sunday democrats led by crying
02:18chuck schumer are slow walking by nominees more than 150 of them they wanted us to pay originally
02:24two billion for approvals the dems are crazed lunatics and all caps there there are reports democrats
02:30were willing to approve the president's nominees this weekend but only in exchange for a handful of
02:35key left-leaning priorities more money for the national institutes of health as well as foreign aid programs
02:41trump's saying no deal now the minority leader chuck schumer says it's the president who gave up on deal making
02:46donald trump tried to pressure threaten cajole name call democrats but he took his ball home and got
02:56nothing donald trump caved and brought home nothing democrats stood strong and donald trump faded away
03:05well either way the lawmakers have left town for their traditional august break it's pretty quiet here in
03:11the nation's capital at least on the other side of the city but we do expect this drama to come back
03:16and right front and center when lawmakers do return in september where there's talk of the possibility of
03:21changing the senate rules to move some of these nominees faster friends back to you thank you mark
03:27thanks mark you know what's interesting here is uh you don't hear democrats talking about the quality
03:31of these nominees or any nominees in particular all they care about is that they don't like the person
03:37who's doing the nominating i.e president trump and so they are pulling out all the stops to block all
03:44the nominees and and this degree the degree to which they are blocking these nominees is unprecedented but
03:50the deal that they wanted to do for the funding had nothing to do with real funding for for the american
03:57people it was for foreign uh uh governments as well when you look at the big wall right here global fund
04:04uh one billion dollars three hundred million uh for the world food program fighting hiv developing countries
04:10fifty million dollars 140 million dollars for the un children's fund and then five billion dollars for the
04:16national institutes of health uh if you're gonna make a deal to try to get the american people's attention
04:21maybe a deal that focuses on them while you're trying to block the american nominees
04:27it just didn't seem like a great strategy seems like that not a lot of lessons have been learned
04:32it's back to resist resist resist um an obstruct when can when you can democrats meanwhile are telling
04:39kamala harris to quote follow her heart but won't say if she should run again for the white house
04:45as biden allies reportedly threaten to reveal embarrassing stories about
04:49her if she discusses biden's cognitive decline all right these are just a sampling of some of the
04:55democrats on the sunday shows over the weekend who said who would not commit to saying that harris should
05:00arrive would you encourage former vice president kamala harris to run for president in 2028 i would
05:07encourage vice president harris to follow her heart i haven't talked to kamala about what her plans are
05:13i think what we need is the ability to make sure that we can build that coalition of 55 58 percent
05:19win win decisively turn our back on this divisive trumpian era of politics
05:24i think he was saying just follow her heart like stage left just go away maybe yeah i mean it's it's
05:32almost equivalent to when we say just do you just do you it's like we like do whatever you want
05:38follow whatever follow your heart i guess um but this comes as some of the new reporting is coming out
05:44from mark uh harper who says that there's hidden stories uh about kamala harris that if she goes after
05:51biden if she reveals anything about his mental decline they're gonna release it watch if the
05:58biden people decide that kamala harris is coming after joe biden wait till you hear the palin-esque
06:04stories about how much they tried to help her be prepared to be vice president and be in a position
06:10to run if the biden people feel threatened you will hear stories about kamala harris as vice president
06:16that will not make her look good and we don't need to hear the stories we saw it we saw we saw the
06:23three rebrands that they tried to do the actors that they hot the kids that she uh were kid actors
06:30that we thought was supposed to be a real you know intimate moment progressives in the party on who
06:36should lead democrats i really like aoc unfortunately i would like to see her stand like and be more
06:44voteful about palisci but other than that i really think that she should be the leader of the democratic
06:49party as she is a democratic socialist being also a young person a young voter a college student seeing
06:54people like zohar mamdani aoc just gaining so much more footing and so much more recognition in the
06:59policy field is very empowering i think candidates like zohar mamdani and aoc are really inspiring to
07:05see they you know someone like mamdani a muslim like me and and and as and i'm here it's so
07:10inspiring to see and so i think that someone like that in 2028 can carry a lot of momentum i think
07:15people are so excited so it goes back lawrence to our point earlier about nothing's changed no lessons
07:20learned it's resist resist donald trump and move as far left as possible in the democrat party uh aoc and
07:28others seem to be still getting the attention yeah and that's where all of the energy is for them
07:33look losing stinks it's the worst and when you lose everybody's a loser you know you look backwards
07:40and you see uh kamala harris and joe biden and they're both losers and you start seeing them start
07:45start uh like carping back and forth and then you look forward and you have aoc and mamdani and others
07:52who are part of the truly radical crazy left-wing fringe of the party that you know say what you want
08:00to about somebody like nancy pelosi she was very effective at keeping the the fringe part of her
08:07candidate of her party under wraps as she kind of rides off the sunset chuck schumer is left he can't
08:13he doesn't know what to do he has no ability to keep this fringe under wraps and that's where all the
08:18energy is that's where all the excitement is the problem is when you get outside of the party
08:23there isn't a broad uh widespread general election support for this crazy nonsense full-blown communism
08:31here in the united in new york city well you're right charlie i think what this new generation of
08:36socialist marx is what what they do very well is they diagnose the problem very well when they talk
08:42about affordability and they say you know you should the quality of health care even what's happening
08:47guys they say the children should not be dying of course they don't say hamas is responsible for a lot of
08:53the deaths there many of their solutions are so jacked up but they do a great job in telling
08:58american people i understand your pain kind of in effect like donald trump addressing the working
09:05class people that feel forgotten in america his solution is different bill maher has a warning for
09:11the democrats okay yeah these young people are crafty they are inspirational but if you run these
09:17people the gop will win the next election watch do you think that he would have the power and
09:24influence to be able to like usher in socialism definitely power and influence to elect jd vance
09:32or whoever is the republican candidate next time it is a walking commercial for the republican party
09:38i think the republicans are going to when you let the democrat socialists and now they're actually
09:43calling themselves social when you let them take over a major american city this is what you get
09:49you know if you're if you're engaging with a psycho who all they care about is controlling you
09:57they're very good at diagnosing problems they're very good at figuring out what your what your weak
10:03points are and that's i would argue what a lot of these people are doing they recognize that if
10:09you can focus on these problems then you can uh you know you can use that dissatisfaction to gain
10:16power for yourself when i see his face i think immediately of his pitch for government runs you
10:21know grocery store that'll work out and i don't think there's any reasonable american who hears that
10:25and thinks that that's something that will work for them and their family but he's winning
10:29and all of the polls right now if you take sliwa out of the polling he still wins if you take adams
10:35out of the polling he still wins if you take cuomo out of the poll he still wins in new york city
10:41this is supposed to be the financial capital of the world and people are willing to elect the
10:47socialist and you know i i don't want him to win i hope people wake up but i think this will be the
10:53next mayor of new york and the question is what are we going to do about it yeah it'll be terrible for
10:58new york city but republicans will be able to run on this issue for as long as that guy's around
11:04and it's going to be a huge boon for republicans and conservatives around the country and new york
11:11city's going to pay i will say this finally when it comes to bill maher it is so refreshing to see
11:16once you remove the tds the trump derangements how you're able to look at the landscape and think
11:22logically bill maher is still liberal he's still a democrat at heart but he looks at the deck much
11:28differently now that he's met the president he sees what's happening in the country the liberals
11:33can recover they can find some type of candidate but they got to stop focusing on donald trump you
11:37can't look at every single issue and look at the president you got to have your own policy
11:42prescriptions and so now he's telling he's warning them guys if you do this you may get a temporary
11:48sugar high because this is this crazy left this but you can't run a candidate like that nationally
11:55people don't like you taking their money yeah this is still america if bill maher can see it it must be
12:00obvious yep okay turning to this uh a manhunt now entering its fourth day in montana but the suspect
12:07accused fatally shooting four people in a bar on friday and police are warning locals he could be armed
12:13and dangerous ty pyro has the details good morning ty good morning to all three of you police say the

12:48the scene in just his underwear and police believe he's still close by we know he went to another
12:54location not far away uh he got rid of some personal belongings and he got rid of his clothes
13:00we have very good reason to believe that he is clothed he does have shoes uh and he's probably able
13:08to get around uh there there was there was some time there where the the the vehicle he ended up
13:13grabbing uh was loaded full of equipment it was not his vehicle it was a stolen vehicle but there was
13:18camping equipment in it we believe there was some clothing in it police are warning the public that
13:23brown should be considered armed and extremely dangerous a seventy five hundred dollar reward is
13:28being offered to anyone to see last week special agents described the two as associates of their main

13:47family members related to an infant that was discovered in the front yard of a home drummond has
13:53been charged with four counts of first-degree murder aggravated kidnapping and gun charges the fbi opening a new
14:01office in new zealand to counter chinese influence while agents were already stationed there a permanent
14:06office signals a tougher push against ccp activity in the indo-pacific region the move comes after fbi
14:13director cash patel returns from meetings with our five eyes partners which includes the uk canada
14:19australia and new zealand the group's goal is to deepen intel sharing and boost joint efforts on cyber and
14:25counter-terrorism happening today ohio gubernatorial candidate vivek ramaswamy will be headed back to
14:31his hometown of cincinnati to host a town hall he says he is looking to have an honest conversation
14:37with locals about crime and building safer communities the move comes after that viral
14:43brawl in downtown cincinnati last weekend one victim is finally speaking out after the violent assault saying
14:50she was left with quote very bad brain trauma ramaswamy will join facts and friends later this
14:55morning to discuss and those are your headlines guys back over to you thank you carly welcome uh i'll
15:02take this one on go for it so you've noticed this song at the top of the charts ordinary by alex warren
15:09this is the song of summer this is at the top of the charts yeah so scotty andrew writing on cnn uh
15:16it takes issue with the fact that there isn't like a baby shark type song that has taken over
15:21the summer writing there is no song of summer this year and if it is it's probably a bummer the top 10
15:28songs on billboard hot 100 are occupied largely by downers at number one alex warren's vaguely christian
15:35ballad ordinary is best suited for a quiet study session it's not a raucous party morgan wallen fresh
15:42from god's country can't feign enthusiasm on his recent half-baked singles even pop prince justin
15:48bieber is keeping it low-key on his new album which relies on sparse downbeat guitars well you know i
15:56mean it's a good song it's a good yeah it's a good song i i mean are we really gonna like does it really
16:03ruin your whole summer that there isn't some annoying song that is playing everywhere you go that
16:08wants you to just like pull your fingernails out right by the way you have to listen to the whole
16:13song because it's got an incredible build to it and a lot of energy when you listen to it start to
16:19finish so i like whatever i like chill everything doesn't have to be there's a time and a place
16:26and i prefer a chill summer i'm okay with that
16:29get yourself a beer a tequila whatever you want and just chill nice music nice vibe hanging out with
16:38lawrence this weekend okay but i think you're right they just don't like because it's a christian
16:42song i agree with you char all right so uh pope leo the 14th uh rallying in estimated one million
16:50young catholics over the weekend during the vatican's jubilee of youth celebration in rome yeah i love the
16:57energy alex hogan is live in london she's got more on all this excitement good morning to you alex
17:02good morning sandra lawrence and charlie so as you mentioned more than a million people came out
17:07to see and hear pope leo in this largest mass since he was named pope earlier this year so take
17:15a look at some of this footage you can just see the massive crowds of people there pilgrims came from
17:20more than 150 countries so this is 2025 the vatican's pola year this was the week-long jubilee of the youth
17:29and the first american pope speaking in english told young catholics quote friendship can really
17:35change the world friendship is a path to peace my young brothers and sisters you are the sign
17:43that a different world is possible a world of fraternity and friendship where conflicts
17:50are not resolved with weapons but with dialogue he also spoke to the cause of supporting young
17:58people affected by wars in gaza and in ukraine he told young catholics to aspire to great things
18:05and not to settle for less his this hour the nation's attention is fixed on several major developing
18:11stories from public safety concerns and violent manhunts to tropical weather threats and political
18:15turmoil all unfolding simultaneously across the united states and abroad we begin with a heartbreaking
18:21and deeply troubling case out of new jersey where authorities are revealing new details about an
18:26illegal immigrant accused of causing a deadly wrong way dui crash that claimed the lives of a
18:31mother and her 11 year old daughter the suspect despite a serious criminal record was still free and
18:36on the streets this has raised renewed and urgent questions how could someone with a violent past and
18:41known immigration violations avoid detention and why wasn't he deported earlier the tragedy has
18:46reignited debates surrounding immigration enforcement and whether current policies are adequately
18:50protecting american communities from repeat offenders at the same time millions across the
18:55southeastern united states are bracing for severe weather this weekend heavy rainfall is already
19:00triggering flash flood warnings in multiple states and meteorologists are closely monitoring a tropical
19:05disturbance developing off the atlantic coast that system is gaining strength and could become a named
19:10storm within the week potentially threatening coastal areas with high winds storm surges and more
19:14flooding in the coming days meanwhile president trump is weighing a sharp response to rising military
19:19aggression from russia the administration is reportedly preparing a new round of sanctions if russian forces
19:25continue their escalated attacks in ukraine as tensions mount the president has ordered the repositioning
19:30of nuclear submarines to what he described as appropriate regions signaling to moscow and the world that the
19:35u.s is willing to flex its military muscle if diplomacy fails back on u.s soil law enforcement
19:42agencies are engaged in two separate high priority manhunts in tennessee a 28 year old ex-convict named austin
19:48drummond is the prime suspect in a brutal quadruple homicide that has left an entire community shaken
19:54drummond who spent more than a decade in prison for armed robbery and has a record of violent behavior behind bars
20:00including an attempted murder charge is believed to have killed four members of a single family
20:05including the parents of a seven-month-old infant who was later found abandoned but unharmed in a car
20:10seat in a stranger's yard two men have already been arrested in connection to the crime accused of
20:15helping drummond evade capture and tamper with evidence authorities believe the murders were targeted
20:20and investigators have confirmed that drummond was in a relationship with the sister of one of the
20:25victims the tennessee bureau of investigation is warning the public that drummond is armed extremely
20:30dangerous and may be receiving help to remain in hiding a reward for information leading to his
20:34capture has now increased to seventeen five hundred dollars in montana a second manhunt is underway
20:40following a horrifying mass shooting at a local bar authorities are searching for 45 year old army
20:45veteran michael paul brown who is suspected of gunning down four people at the owl bar in anaconda
20:50early friday morning surveillance footage shows the suspect fleeing the scene wearing only
20:54black shorts before escaping in a stolen white ford f-150 the vehicle has since been recovered but
20:59brown remains at large law enforcement officials backed by helicopters and search teams on the ground
21:05are combing nearby mountainous terrain local residents are being urged to stay vigilant and call 9-1-1
21:10immediately if they spot the suspect who is considered extremely unstable and dangerous on the
21:16economic front there is fresh controversy following president trump's firing of the biden appointed head of
21:21the bureau of labor statistics just hours after a disappointing july jobs report the report showed
21:26only 73 000 new jobs created far below expectations and included major downward revisions to job numbers
21:32from may and june trump's economic advisor kevin hassett described the scale of the revisions
21:38as unprecedented adding that the data appeared so flawed he initially thought it must be a typo
21:42former treasury secretary larry summers pushed back calling trump's decision preposterous and defending
21:48the bls as a professional non-partisan agency run by hundreds of statisticians and economists
21:53still trump's supporters argue that if the president has lost trust in the leadership of a federal agency
21:58he has the authority and perhaps the obligation to make a change all of this unfolds amid growing debate
22:04over trump's new economic strategy including the impact of sweeping tariffs on foreign imports while
22:09the administration argues that tariffs will generate over three trillion dollars in revenue and restore
22:14fairness to international trade critics warn they may cost the average american household as much as
22:20two dollars and four hundred dollars a year second quarter gdp grew at a strong three percent but
22:25some economists caution that the growth was due in part to a sharp drop in imports prompting the wall
22:30street journal to label it the weirdest gdp report ever indiana congresswoman aaron hochin joined fox
22:36news to defend the president's economic record she highlighted the potential of trump's one big beautiful bill
22:42a legislative package that aims to provide permanent tax relief and boost family income hochin dismissed
22:49concerns about the jobs report arguing that survey-based data is inherently variable and can be skewed
22:55she emphasized that trump's approach to trade and taxation is already delivering historic investment
23:00from countries like japan and members of the european union as the u.s continues to negotiate new trade
23:06deals hauchin remains confident that the president's america first strategy will lead to long-term prosperity
23:12still the economy is likely to play a pivotal role in the upcoming midterm elections with control of
23:17congress potentially at stake republicans are betting on strong economic numbers to retain voter confidence
23:22finally there's renewed friction between trump and federal reserve chairman jerome powell
23:27the fed recently decided to hold interest rates steady a move the president and his allies have openly
23:32criticized hochin expressed concern that powell may be acting too cautiously and suggested that a rate cut
23:38in september would be more appropriate given current economic indicators she also warned against what
23:42she called deep state interference from unelected officials who she claims could undermine economic
23:47progress if motivated by partisan intent in short it's a tense and pivotal moment for the country
23:53marked by violent crime unpredictable weather global instability and fierce political battles over the
23:58economy with so many high stakes developments unfolding at once the coming days may prove to be
24:04defining for both the trump administration and the nation as a whole hi everyone i'm joe kaa joined
24:09by jerry willis molly line and joey jones and welcome to the big weekend show tonight we delve into
24:15some of the most pressing and controversial issues shaping american politics today issues of cover-ups
24:22intimidation tactics and outright obstruction patterns that seem to increasingly define the current
24:26democratic party's approach to governance and accountability we begin with a startling new chapter
24:32in the ongoing saga surrounding president joe biden's cognitive health and the efforts by his team
24:37to obscure any signs of decline this week mike donnellan a former senior aide to biden made waves by
24:44claiming that he was completely unaware of the existence or use of the auto pen a device that allows
24:49for the automatic signing of documents on the president's behalf this claim in itself strains credulity
24:56given donnellan's high-ranking position within biden's inner circle yet even more troubling is the
25:00revelation that the biden campaign reportedly offered donnellan an eight million dollar incentive
25:05if biden were to secure re-election this raises serious questions about whether such a financial
25:10offer was intended to ensure silence or complicity in covering up the president's apparent mental decline
25:17how can someone so intimately involved in biden's orbit claim ignorance of the auto pen and was this
25:23substantial monetary inducement a factor in encouraging him to turn a blind eye to troubling realities
25:28these are not just rhetorical questions they point to a troubling culture of secrecy and financial
25:32incentive protecting the highest office in the land but the story gets darker according to
25:38investigative journalist mark halpern the biden team has been actively intimidating claw harris
25:43a key witness who reportedly saw first-hand evidence of biden's condition hoppern described
25:48efforts to silence harris painting a picture of coercion and political pressure designed to prevent
25:53damaging testimonies from reaching the public or congress harris's story also includes claims of
25:58how the biden camp tried to position her as a potential vice presidential candidate but then
26:02suddenly abandoned her with damaging judgments about her readiness and capabilities this political
26:07maneuvering underscores the lengths the team is willing to go to control the narrative and manage
26:12internal dissension meanwhile the house oversight committee continues its probe scheduling at least
26:17six more aides to testify through september many expected to invoke their fifth amendment rights
26:22among those slated for questioning is bruce reed former deputy chief of staff for policy indicating
26:28the investigation is far from over but faces significant roadblocks joining us live to unpack
26:34these revelations is congresswoman anna paulina luna a member of the house oversight committee when
26:39asked if these ongoing inquiries merely scratch the surface luna is unequivocal the administration is
26:45hiding the undeniable truth that biden is suffering from cognitive decline she recalls a private
26:50conversation with a prominent democrat on the house floor who acknowledged knowledge of biden's
26:55condition but preferred to keep the issue under wraps to avoid further controversy luna laments
27:00the lack of transparency and predicts that many witnesses will dodge full accountability by pleading
27:05the fifth complicating oversight efforts and public understanding of the truth shifting gears there is
27:10yet another scandal emerging this one rooted deep within the intelligence community former presidential
27:16candidate and dni tulsi gabbard released whistleblower testimony from an intelligence official alleging
27:22intense pressure to conform to the obama administration's 2017 assessment regarding alleged collusion between
27:29donald trump and russia the whistleblower claims a supervisor explicitly suggested that putin might have
27:35compromising material to blackmail trump and pressured the whistleblower to agree with the official narrative
27:41regardless of contrary evidence when the whistleblower pushed back the supervisor insisted on conformity
27:47to ensure the defense intelligence agency's alignment congresswoman luna describes this not as mere
27:52suggestion but as clear proof of institutional coercion within the intelligence apparatus used to manipulate
27:58public perception and silence dissent she further highlights a broader pattern during the obama years
28:03where federal agencies like the fbi and intelligence services use their powers not just to gather
28:09intelligence but to shield allies and punish adversaries all while undermining american civil liberties
28:14including those of then president trump luna calls for serious consequences for those responsible
28:19including criminal charges arguing that mere political threats and letters from congress are
28:24insufficient responses to such violations turning to another hot button topic the show addresses ongoing
28:30clashes between house democrats and the trump administration regarding immigration enforcement
28:34and oversight of detention facilities democrats have been accused of obstructing ice operations
28:39through protests and publicity stunts designed to disrupt the agency's work now they are suing
28:43the administration to gain increased access to detention centers despite existing legal provisions that
28:48already grant congressional oversight the trump administration maintains that congressional members can visit
28:53facilities as long as they schedule in advance framing the lawsuit as an unnecessary political stunt congresswoman
28:59luna weighs in criticizing democrats for attempting to politicize immigration enforcement and falsely portray
29:05ice and border patrol agents as racist despite the fact that many agents are hispanic she argues that this
29:11narrative is a cynical attempt to energize the democratic base ahead of upcoming elections by demonizing law
