00:39idinadaos ngayon ang 4-day Regional Workshop on Empowering Women Journalists in Crisis Reporting
01:08We need to have gender equal portrayal of, you know, both men and women in the news stories.
01:16It takes everyone. It takes every institution.
01:20We need, it's not just the responsibility of the journalists.
01:25It's the responsibility of the organizations who are hiring those journalists.
01:30It has to happen at the government level as well.
01:33It needs to be identified first.
01:36It needs to be accepted that this is the, you know, problem that we are facing
01:41and we need to address this problem.
01:48The psychosocial safety is very, very helpful as well
01:51because as a journalist, we can't have boundaries, I guess.
01:56If you have to cover a news, we have to go to the feed and cover.
01:59Most of the time, we don't realize that we are burnt out, that we are stressed due to our job.
02:07And psychosocial safety gives me a realization that I have to take care of myself
02:15that only I can provide a fruitful thing for my job.
02:36I don't have more experience than you have.
02:39I have a different experience.
02:41You have a unique experience.
02:43I have a unique experience.
02:44So we all learn from each other.
02:47We learn, we unlearn, and then we relearn.
02:51Vel Custodio para sa Pambansang TV sa Bagong Pilipinas.
