00:00The other matchup in the conference is a top 25 battle, takes place in Knoxville.
00:05Georgia opened as a six-and-a-half-point road favorite coach over Joey Aguilar and the Tennessee Volunteers.
00:13It's down to three-and-a-half, some injuries on the defensive side of the ball for Georgia in the secondary.
00:19All eyes are on the Tennessee Volunteers as a home dog.
00:23Can Joey Aguilar upset Georgia and Kirby Smart this Saturday?
00:27You know, if they upset Georgia, it'll be because of Joey Aguilar.
00:33Tennessee has continued over the last couple of years to play great defense.
00:37They've continued to run the football.
00:39What they've lacked since 2022 when Herndon Hooker was able to throw deep so well,
00:45they've lacked that ability to get the explosive big play.
00:48I'm going to say this.
00:49If Tennessee can get two big over-the-top plays like they used to get to go with the running attack
00:56and with their defense, this could be a game that they could very well beat Georgia.
01:01Now, I don't have them hitting quite that much.
01:03I think Georgia is going to win a close ball game just because they're just the team that I think is balanced offense, defense, running game overall.
01:12But Joey Aguilar, if he could have a big game and hit a couple of deep balls,
01:17that's what separates a very, very good Tennessee from a national championship contender.
01:23Great point.
01:24Now, there's some great numbers in this matchup that I want to break down.
01:28Georgia, in this series, Coach, has won eight straight against the Tennessee Volunteers.
01:33They've won those last four meetings by an average margin of victory of 20 points per game.
01:38They've won the last four games in Knoxville, Coach, by an average margin of victory of 31.5 points per game.
01:45So, they have dominated when they've been on the road in Knoxville.
01:49The one thing I do like is the identity potentially for Georgia to be back.
01:53You and I had talked all offseason about the identity of running the football.
01:58They're averaging 214 entering this matchup compared to last year, only $1.32.
02:04I think that carries well on the road.
02:06And this is potentially the lowest spread that we've seen from 2016 and 2015 in the series.
02:13Oh, by the way, the Georgia Bulldogs lost both of those games.
02:18Yeah, I mean, they've won those games because they had the better football team.
02:22And like I say, if I think of any team that's out there in the SEC that has a good team that can win the conference
02:30and play down the road or to the last games of the college football championship playoffs, it's Georgia.
02:37And so, I think the way they play – and they don't give up the big ball.
02:40They play great secondary – you know, Kirby Smart was a defensive back when I coached against Georgia.
02:46He was a defensive back, a strong safety at Georgia.
02:50He believes in defense, very similar philosophy at Nick Saban.
02:55And they're one that can stop, and they always play a good game against Tennessee.
02:59And they're the one that will go out there with a consistent game plan
03:03and one that would make them the better selection in this ballgame end-up.
03:09We'll see if Gunnar Stockton and the Georgia offense can respond.
03:12They are 8-2 against the number over the last 10 meetings against the Tennessee Volunteers.
