00:00All right, let's do this.
00:03Look at that!
00:05All right, over first!
00:07Over first!
00:09Woo!
00:11Oh my God!
00:13Oh my God!
00:15Look at this!
00:17Look at the Earth!
00:19Look at the Earth!
00:21Oh man!
00:23Oh my God!
00:25This is like...
00:27This is like insane!
00:29Okay, I got a few things to do.
00:33All right!
00:35First for you!
00:37Cam appears!
00:39Dude, look at the Earth!
00:41Just look outside!
00:43Oh my God!
00:45Where's face?
00:47Man is happy, buddy!
00:49India with pride!
00:51India to space!
00:53India to space!
00:55Woohoo!
00:57Hey there!
00:59Eight...
01:01Seven...
01:02Six...
01:03Five...
01:04Four...
01:05Command engine start...
01:06Two...
01:07One...
01:08Zero...
01:09Ignition...
01:10Start...
01:11And liftoff!
01:12When the rocket and our astronauts are heading up to space!
01:21New Shepard has cleared the tower, The rocket and our astronauts are heading up to space!
01:22New Shepard has cleared the tower, the rocket and our astronauts are heading up to space.
01:34Now you can follow along on the bottom left of your screen, the altimeter on the left, excuse me, the altimeter on the right and the speedometer on the left.
01:43All right, as we go through this flight, there are a couple of milestones here.
02:07The first one will be Max-Q, that's when the dynamic pressures are the highest on the vehicle.
02:15We go from 100% power, pull it back a little bit as we go through Max-Q and then ramp her back up to 100%.
02:22Max-Q should be in about 10 seconds.
02:38Max-Q has been confirmed. Again, thank you everybody for joining us for New Shepard's 25th mission to space.
02:59So far in nominal flight, we have gone through Max-Q.
03:04100,000 feet.
03:06And the vehicle will continue to climb under full power of the BE-3 engine.
03:12The next milestone will be main engine cutoff.
03:18You will know when that happens when you see the glow of the engine at the base of the rocket go dim.
03:25We go.
03:35There we go, main engine cutoff confirmed.
03:40Passing 200,000 feet.
03:45Now, with the main engine cutoff, with the BE-3 engine turned off, the vehicle continues to climb up towards its apogee.
03:56But as you will see on the left side, the speedometer will come down.
04:00And once that speedometer hits zero, that's when you know exactly that the vehicle has hit apogee, its highest altitude in the flight of the vehicle.
04:11Now, I understand that separation of the capsule from the booster has been confirmed.
04:19All right, let's do this.
04:21Look at that!
04:23All right, all over first!
04:26All over first!
04:28Woo!
04:29Oh my god!
04:31Oh my god!
04:32Look at the earth!
04:33Look at the earth!
04:34Look at the earth!
04:35Look at the earth!
04:36Oh man!
04:37Oh my god!
04:38Oh my god!
04:39This is like insane!
04:40Okay, I got a few things to do.
04:41All right!
04:42First for you!
04:43Cam appears!
04:44Dude, look at the earth!
04:47Just look outside!
04:48Oh my god!
04:49Thank god!
04:51This is wise face!
04:52This is wise face!
04:53Man is happy birthday!
04:54India with pride!
04:55India with space!
04:56India with space!
04:57India with space!
04:59Woohoo!
05:00Hey!
05:01Hey there!
05:02Let's go!
05:03Hello!
05:04Oh my god!
05:05What is my treasure?
05:06Isn't that fun?
05:07Oh my god!
05:08Oh my god!
05:12Oh my god!
05:17Oh my god!
05:18All right, you see the booster that is headed down, you see the drag fins, the drag brakes
05:36that have just deployed, those cut the speed of the booster in half, also at the top of
05:43the rocket there, you see the forward fins, they kind of look like pie slices, one on
05:49each quadrant, that helps keep the vehicle stable, and there we go, BE-3 engine relight,
06:01engine gear deployed, and touchdown, welcome home New Shepard, what a beautiful flight to
06:22space and back for that booster, but the show is not over, the crew capsule has deployed
06:31its guide parachutes and its mains, everything looking nominal on today's flight.
06:45Looks like we do have two parachutes that have full inflation, the third is not quite fully
06:51inflated, but actually, Jackie, this is part of the design, one of the, in fact, we were
07:01talking about my webcast, the first webcast that we did, we actually, we tested a shootout,
07:07there are multiple redundant factors in this system, and so landing with two parachutes is
07:16perfectly okay for this system. You'll also see the dust take out of the base of the capsule as she
07:23comes in to land, that is the air cushioning system, it's going to kick up a lot of that West Texas dust
07:29you just talked about, but also, there it is, touchdown of the crew capsule, a beautiful flight
07:39for our rocket, for our crew capsule, for our six new astronauts, Mason, Sylvain, Ken, Carol, Gopi,
07:48and Ed, you are officially astronauts. Welcome home, everybody.
07:53Welcome home, everybody.
