00:00so there were three reasons really main reasons that i did this film firstly when i read the
00:13script it was definitely a thing where it constantly kept reveals reveal reveal reveal reveal and it
00:19it read fast and i was very intrigued by that also the story tempting madness is based on a true
00:25story that really happened it's unbelievable it's super strong um then secondly jen and everybody
00:32working on the film fantastic people you know very heavy collaborative spirit so i was like you know i
00:37love situations like that so that was important and then thirdly simone was attached to it simone
00:44ashley who i really have loved the work that she's done and she's really on one she's an amazing human
00:50being these three things together were like okay i should definitely do this i like my character
00:56he represented to a degree the family the good in the film the film itself is about the cyclical nature
01:03of violence of life constant repetition karma cycles basically so learning that through this lens was
01:12fantastic uh well i'm deeply connected to my own brother and sister um obviously that helps you just
01:34kind of imagine you know the rough circumstance playing out in that regard so obviously that really
01:39helps also um jen the director of the film she was deeply embedded in the whole true story of this
01:50so whenever i felt like i didn't understand something or i felt like a little bit removed from it she'd
01:56bring us back in she'd be like this is what happened this is how it went and in that regard uh it made
02:01the job easy plus obviously simone's a great actor so working opposite her our dynamic offset became really
02:08good you know we became friends and that obviously also helped a lot
02:15we didn't uh we did yeah we did workshops we uh rehearsed a lot of the scenes we spent time together
02:22i found out about her she found out about me and yeah so that early time spent together doing that
02:28workshops with the other characters too and with the director really really helped a lot
02:33so
02:41for this film it was the balance between
02:49deep connection and care for someone soft love and uh anger finding that balance between deep love and
03:07anger how does anger play out when it's to defend someone you love that was the key emotion for me
03:14it was great uh simone has big capacity for emotions um she's also a really cool person she's mad chill
03:30you know she she's just genuine in how she is so finding these emotions finding the place for them
03:38finding the timing making it move all those things really really helped
03:51so the pace became really slow when it starts
03:56from the start of the game
03:59so did you know that was the film in a fast pace or
04:04watching it or shooting it uh
04:08shooting it was fast really fast we were moving we were moving constantly getting things done we had to do
04:15a lot in a small amount of time so the pace on that was good um in terms of the story itself
04:21um there was a lot of conversations about how do you balance making uh making people care about
04:28these characters while at the same time keeping that pace um so no i don't think it i think it kept
04:35it its pace really well i think the editing really helped with that and keeping it going but also
04:40the fact that you don't know what's coming next at any point really gives it uh movement speed so
04:56we talked we talked a lot we always talked we were talking off set on set we became friends
05:01basically we became friends and it really helped everything because we could talk about the things
05:05we agree with the things we don't agree with how do you want to play this how am i going to play this
05:09it's very good when you have an actor that knows that if i go off script or do something
05:14different or change things she'll be there with me that dynamic key i'm with you you're with me that
05:20really helped a lot that was fun uh talking about the story the story
05:30yeah it added pressure it's different when you're doing things and you know it's it happened
05:35but with the pressure also it releases some of the pressure because you have something to work off
05:40of the director really lived through parts of this right she was very much there in the true story
05:45so you know that she knows so you can trust her being like okay this is what happened this is how
05:51close we're going to get to that this is what we don't need to say so in that regard both pressure but
05:56also comfort in the sense that this happened and we know someone that's helming the project that knew what happened
06:05it was great i always think when there's cultural movement when there's things to learn from each
06:19other you know from the different cultures that always helps it adds another layer to the whole
06:23thing so it really did you know simone is british you know and i'm from india austin's from the us the
06:29whole dynamic created more emotions more trust distrust understanding so it it added a lot i always
06:38think cultural movement is always a great thing it helps us all
06:41my whole thing so far has been what i'm trying to do things that so far i have not done
07:00um and in far as a deep psychological thriller i haven't done you know so this was for that reason
07:07i it was easy easy to do absolutely with your help you can see me in bollywood uh make it happen
07:22um but yes i'm trying to do projects in both places i got a couple of tv shows coming out in
07:26the u.s um one of them being a night agent which is going to come out on netflix probably by i'm not
07:32entirely sure but next year early next year um and then there's a few movies going on so there's
07:37stuff in the works it's been fun i don't know how it's shaped but uh it's fun it's been a great great
07:47journey i've i've met great people i've gone to go places most people don't get to go i've learned a lot
07:53good people and i hope it continues i hope it goes onwards and upwards you know we're all trying
08:02the only message i have is you know sometimes it's great to listen the more we listen the more we
08:10understand the more we know and the closer we become together you know people aren't so different
08:14especially when you know the differences thank you
