Mumbai: During an exclusive interview with senior actor and CINTAA office bearer Deepak Parashar spoke about the evolving film and television industry and the need for collective action to support struggling actors. He highlighted how the industry has become more organized over the years but still faces major challenges like low demand, delayed payments, long working hours, and lack of basic support for artists. He explained CINTAA’s efforts to address these issues through meetings with authorities, increased medical aid, and collaboration with producer bodies. He also stressed the importance of unity between actors and producers for meaningful change.

00:00So after this initiative, because the entire industry has come together and you have seen the era of 80s and 90s when things were very very unorganized and now we have crossed the first quarter of 21st century. So what changes do you see in one year, two years now that you all have come together for this special cause?
00:20You see, we didn't have so much of a problem initially because our organization earlier was called CAA, which is Cine Artists Association. But from the time with television, we had to face a lot of problems.
00:44And COVID-19 also had a lot of difficulties. But the new committee of CINTA has come in 2014 and it has been a year for us to understand what CINTA is all about.
01:04We've just come to help the needy actors.
01:06We've just come to help the needy actors.
01:10We've just come to help the needy actors.
01:20who have not have money or shooting.
01:23Because what do you say to the producer?
01:26The main problem is that the demand is less than the demand is, but the supply is less than the supply is less than the demand.
01:30We've just come to help the needy actors.
01:32But after that, we have just come to help the needy actors.
01:36We've just come to help the needy actors.
01:38Because what do you say to the producer?
01:41The main problem is that the demand is less than the supply is less than the supply is less than the supply.
01:51So that is the main issue.
01:54And this is what you have asked about the three demands of our actors, which is timely payment, which is conveyance and working hours.
02:11So you see, as CINTA, we are very responsible.
02:17And we want to connect with all of our associations.
02:22And we can't be different from each other.
02:27Because if you talk about a producer or actor,
02:32then the producer is nothing without an actor.
02:35And an actor also,
02:37he doesn't have anything about the producer.
02:40So we have to work as a deal.
02:43Now, as soon as we have come to our artists' problems,
02:52we have not one, two, three,
02:56not seven or eight times,
02:58we have to go to appointments and request them.
03:03Finally, this was decided,
03:06which I remember,
03:08that we cannot take side of just cine artists.
03:16We have to do this meeting,
03:20which should be a joint meeting,
03:22in which IMPA,
03:24which is the producer's council,
03:26the federation,
03:27and CINTA,
03:29we have to come to one table,
03:32and we have to keep a meeting.
03:34Now, that meeting is not possible.
03:36We have to be part of this meeting.
03:37So it is not possible.
03:38But after this meeting...
03:40My time has increased.
03:42We are doing something.
03:43How do we do our artists,
03:46and how do we help us?
03:48We also have to help.
03:51We are doing it again.
03:53Like the medical officer ,
03:54before it was 50,000,
03:55and now we have to do 1,00,000,
03:57because we have to do the takers.
05:43Well, that's why Deepika Pradukone
05:49I will not work for more than eight hours or if the artist is pregnant she must get that leave
06:16And they are so busy, they are so, you know,
06:25उनके हिसाब से चलती है because they are the selling factor
06:40ये पहली बार है when, you know, some known faces like Poonam,
06:46Dillard, Padman Nikola Puri, Upasna Singh, Deepak Purashar, myself
06:50And we've done a lot of work, like, I think all of us have worked over 40 years
06:54I've worked in the industry for 46 years
07:11I don't think that's going to be possible
07:14But, COVID के ताइम पे, people like Ritik Roshan and many actors
07:31Everybody, Sonu, Sudh has done a lot, then you have Salman, being human, they have done, SRK has done, Akshay, he has done also a lot
08:03I don't think that's going to be possible
08:11But, अब because television जुड़ गया है, it's become very, very vast
08:16So, I don't think that's going to be possible
08:19So, our only hope is Modi ji, Amit Shah ji
08:24And now, you know, a very good, fine gentleman
08:29Which is Arun Gohvil ji
08:32I have worked with him in a film also
08:36Called Shridhanjali
08:38Where I was opposite Rakhi
08:41And he also played a role in that
08:45So, good relationship, nice meeting him after a long time
08:50But, the most important thing is that he is a very positive person
08:56And he has so much happy to everyone
09:02And I am sure that it's a matter of 1-2 months
09:04And I am sure that it will be possible
09:07Talking about the projects, you did first copy of AIA
09:12And how do you see the changing scenario of entire industry
09:17The way senior actors are also getting different kind of roles to play
09:23In these, in the new era of cinema and OTT
09:27You know, somehow I am very old fashioned
09:33So, I think that when I came to the industry
09:36And I remember I was the very first Mr. India
09:40In 1976
09:42And Poonam Dhillon was Miss Delhi
09:46At that time
09:48So, at that time
09:49The industry was very different
09:56But, after coming, I am seeing this film industry
10:06It's slowly, slowly lacking content
10:10So, which is very important
10:12And digitalization has taken place
10:17So, now it has also come to listen to AIA
10:21Will take over everything
10:24So, I don't know what the future of the film industry is going to be
10:28But, now there is a film, Dhurandar
10:32Which people have loved a lot
10:34So, I am sorry
10:37But, I did not see it
10:39Because I am so busy with Sinta
10:41But, there are good reviews
10:45A new content
10:47A good project
10:49And one film is going to be coming
10:51Border 2
10:53And also the reviews are very good
10:55So, today
10:56Somebody had told me
10:58So, I think
10:58Slowly, slowly
11:00I hope everything works out
11:04And one film is going to be coming to the film is going to be coming to the film is going to be the film is going to be the film is going to be the film is going to be the film is going to be the film is going to be the film is going to be the film is going to be the film is going to be the film is going to be the film is going to be the film is going to be the film is going to be the film is going to be the film is going to be the film is going to be the film is going to be the film is going to be the film is going to be the film is going to be the film is going to be the film is going to be the film is going to be the film is going to be the film is going to be the film is going to be the film is going to be the film is going to be the film is going to be the film is going to be the film is going to be the film is going to be the film is going to be the film is going to be
