00:00so you get a call Queen Lativa we want you to be the Wiz what do you say I'm
00:12like the Wiz sure I suppose I could be that Wiz first of all I think I called
00:18them first because I heard that they were doing it and it was gonna be later
00:21than what it actually is right now and I was like wait a minute is the Wiz
00:24happening and nobody called me because listen somebody's head is going to roll
00:29if I don't at least get to see the script if you were ever going to do the Wiz
00:33live these are guys you want to be doing it with the vision of it all I knew it
00:37would be would be amazing and the attention that paid to it the diligence
00:42to make sure it's done right I knew it was gonna be done right so this cast that
00:47they've assembled this group of people behind the scenes and in front of the
00:50camera is unbelievable and this is the way you want to do it if you don't do it
00:55yeah this is the first time the Wiz is being played by a woman but this is
00:59a modern Wiz and this is a forward-thinking group of people and yeah
01:04why not this is a character why shouldn't why shouldn't the Wiz be it be played by a
01:10woman I mean you know how many of your cartoon characters that you watch that
01:14are guys are really voiced by women this is what it's about it's about creating a
01:19story and telling it for our our times and in our ways and I'm very honored to be
01:24able to to be the Wiz you know this is major I I can't even put more words
01:30together right to even express it I'm just so happy to be a part of it
01:33yeah
