00:29Faiti, draging, dying, living, you know, the things that everybody does.
00:39You know where we were the hottest live band in London?
00:45Shane McGowan, the visionary, one of the finest writers of the century.
00:50Then they went on a world tour.
00:52It was not so big, sorry.
00:54And then things went wrong.
00:59How are we wrong?
01:02He went away.
01:03You're up.
01:05And he didn't come back.
01:07Not the Shane that I ever knew.
01:08And then doctors told me that he had six months to live.
01:13If I really wanted to die, I'd be dead already.
01:17I'm delighted to announce this special Lifetime Achievement Award to Shane McGowan.
01:23Your songs broadened our sense of ourselves.
01:25Redemption, sorrow, the ordinary person's story.
01:28You were pretty clean, I've knew you.
01:31Like, you're content with what you've achieved.
01:32No, I want to do more.
01:45Actually, we're better when we're sober.
01:47But it's not as much fun, so we get drunk.
01:50You're welcome.
01:53You're welcome.
01:54You're welcome.
