Another End: Intervista a Piero Messina e Renate Reinsve
Trascrizione
00:10persone noi come vedono.
01:36questa no.
02:05We're talking about identities and I was wondering, how did you play two characters whose identity is not that defined?
02:14I mean, was it difficult to focus, to shape these characters?
02:19Yeah, because they're so different and you don't want them to be like, yeah, one-dimensional, you need them to
02:27be real people, both of them.
02:32But it was, it helped me a lot, we talked a lot about their mentalities and their, and we did
02:40a lot of makeup and hair tests to find who they were and also keep them different.
02:47But also for me, it was finding where their, like body was resting or where, like how their body was
02:56moving was very important in, in that work.
03:00While I sing, I'll ask in Italian and in English, do you think that we live in a world, in
03:08a moment where we sort of lost our identity because we're always trying to conform to the image within the
03:18world wants to see of us?
03:20I don't know if we've lost our identity, but we're certainly losing our presence, which has a lot to do
03:27with identity.
03:28And so, the film also talks about this, how the presence is determined in the relationship.
03:37I think it's a very good question because it's, we're surrounded by so many images and so much pressure on
03:47who other people see us as and who we see ourselves from the outside too.
03:53But to keep, yeah, a focus on like what actually gives you joy and happiness is actually quite hard.
04:00It's like you have to work on it, but it's, it is important to do.
04:06Grazie Mikari.
04:07Grazie a lot.
04:12Grazie a lot.
