00:07I'm Andrea from MoviePlayer.it
00:09I'm Andrea
00:10Yeah, Denise, we actually met Luca a couple of years ago
00:14Oh my god, that was wild then
00:16Yeah, yeah, here we are on the stage, full house
00:19Oh my god, yeah, you interviewed me
00:22Yeah, so, but, I'm sorry Kyle, but I also have to share a story with them
00:27Because last year we chat during the new Luke Junket
00:31And our chat went viral because we spoke also about Krennic
00:37You told me that the character has plenty more to give to this universe
00:41But when I asked you about your return, you gave me a very confident no
00:47Absolutely
00:49Brilliant actor
00:50But you went viral
00:50Yeah, you're a very good actor
00:52Wait, actor
00:54How much is it fun to lie to journalists on these occasions?
01:00Look, when you're doing entertainment stuff, it is de rigueur
01:04You know, there is, because the most boring thing on the earth is the actor as the actor
01:09In my opinion, right?
01:11So, whatever, it's not important
01:13It's as long as it's entertaining
01:15And I speak personally for myself
01:17I'm not speaking of other actors
01:19I love to watch other actors interviews
01:21But for myself
01:23It is, it is perfect
01:26But you'd have gotten in trouble if you'd told him anything
01:28Exactly
01:29And it's, I have certain commercial
01:31I like the Empire itself
01:33I have certain commercial concerns
01:34Which I'm responsible for the building of
01:37And like the Death Star needed to be kept
01:40And also you don't really want to know
01:42You don't really want to know all the spoilers and everything
01:45It ruins it
01:46So, and also for you, Denise and Kyle
01:49Do you find it difficult somehow to release this kind of interviews
01:53Where you maybe, oh god, I'm saying too much?
01:59Yeah, they don't usually let me do it
02:01Because
02:06I got tacked on to this group
02:08Because usually it's a no
02:10It's just a straight up no
02:12Oh, that's really good
02:13Yeah
02:13You mean just saying no as an answer?
02:16No, they say no to me during interviews
02:17Because I give away to them
02:19Yeah, you ready?
02:20Ask another question and you'll get one word answers
02:25It's weird because your characters don't really feel like the classic Star Wars villains
02:29I mean, they seem more driven by personal ambition
02:33Also by loyalty to the Empire
02:35But more their personal ambition
02:39So, how do you see this dynamic in the development of your characters?
02:44Starting with Denise
02:46I think it's more frightening if a villain has a personal interest in whatever their agenda is
02:54As opposed to just for the whole
02:56I think that's what makes them so successful as villains
03:01Because they're shaded with so many other things
03:04They're not stock characters, you know
03:06Like the initial storyline with Deirdre
03:09What I loved in the first season was
03:11Everybody was like girl bossing her
03:13You know, that new thing of, you know
03:15She's like a girl boss
03:16And then she was torturing another woman
03:19And you realize you can't kind of
03:23They're more interesting to me than the average villain
03:27Because I want to see a villain eating cereal with his mother, for example
03:31I mean, it's brilliant
03:33It's brilliantly written
03:34And therefore, that's what makes them interesting, I think
03:38That they're not just stock characters
03:40It also just shows the darkness behind personal ambition
03:45Yeah
03:45And how that can be twisted and morphed and used by a huge thing
03:50System
03:51System like the Empire
03:52And it's really dangerous when you have people who are willing
03:57That really feel like they don't have anything to lose
04:00Or willing to do whatever they want for power
04:03Or to transcend their station
04:09So, yeah, yeah
04:10I think it shows the dangerous quality of that
04:15Yeah, like the more personal they make it
04:19The more dangerous they are
04:20That's it
04:21Wish I'd said that
04:22That's why I don't do this
04:23Yeah, but I could only say it because you said what you said
04:26So thank you very much
04:27My time is up
04:27But before we wrap
04:28Long live the Empire
04:30So
04:30Hey, there we go
04:33Bye-bye
04:34Bye
04:34See ya
