Ballerina, intervista a Len Wiseman e Norman Reedus
Trascrizione
00:07Nella mitologia Slava
01:21and it's one of the reasons that I really
01:24really love John Wick
01:25I think you know we talk a lot about
01:28the action and the action is
01:29I think the best action
01:32in the last decade
01:33but it's a tone in the world
01:36and that is also
01:38very unique and so
01:40I thought if I
01:42if I have that tone
01:44present
01:46then I can
01:48kind of take the audience anywhere
01:49and so those were the two sort of things
01:52that I was focusing on
01:53John Wick franchise is
01:56well known for his
01:57ambiguous characters
01:59for his complex character
02:01and how did you think that
02:04your character fit into this
02:06scheme?
02:07You know he sort of has the same
02:10thing that Anna's character
02:12has. They've
02:13her for a revenge
02:15me to protect my little girl
02:17but they've come to the point
02:19where they're willing to fight
02:21everyone
02:22like they're up against the wall
02:23right
02:24she's going forward
02:26I've gone into the hotel
02:28and trying not to fight anymore
02:29I guess
02:29I would imagine that would have been
02:31my last option
02:35yeah
02:35there's similarities there
02:37I think when she shows up
02:38it's kind of like
02:39a blessing for
02:42for my character
02:43that she shows up to
02:44help protect her kid
02:45but yeah
02:47there's similarities there
02:49but there's also differences there
02:50you know
02:51How did you balance
02:53the grace
02:54and the beauty
02:55of dance
02:56with the violence
02:57of the fight?
02:59I did a lot
03:02of research
03:02with
03:03ballet in general
03:05and
03:05found a
03:07just a connective tissue
03:09in
03:10the beautiful performance
03:12that we see
03:13in
03:13a ballet performance
03:15but
03:16was less aware
03:17of the excruciating pain
03:19that the ballerinas
03:21are going through
03:21during this
03:22so it's really
03:22the pain behind
03:24the beauty
03:25of the
03:25performance
03:26their toes are all
03:27fucked up
03:27it's bleeding
03:29they're usually
03:30fighting through
03:31an immense amount
03:31of pain
03:32during this
03:33elegant performance
03:34and so I thought
03:35that's one of the reasons
03:36why I wanted to open up on that
03:37of
03:38you know
03:39showing
03:39the pain
03:40the blood
03:41and everything
03:42with Ana
03:42and I think that then
03:45it translates over
03:46into combat
03:48and
03:48a discipline
03:49really was like
03:50the discipline of
03:51dance
03:52fighting through
03:53the pain
03:54all that was the start
03:56starting to make that
03:57connection
03:58so that was the starting point
03:59for me on that
04:01what do you think
04:02what do you hope
04:03that you would
04:04will take from this story
04:06not about
04:07the fight scene
04:09but the more
04:11intimate
04:12component of the narrative
04:15well I have a six year old daughter
04:17so
04:18I get it
04:20I get what he's going through
04:22but you know
04:23it's just
04:24it's just nice to be part of that world
04:25I've worked with Lynn before
04:26I'm a fan of Lynn's
04:27I'm a fan of
04:28the John Wick franchise
04:30it's kind of a bucket list job
04:32for an actor
04:33to be in a movie
04:34you know
04:35in the John Wick world
04:36because
04:38you know
04:39everybody watches
04:40these movies
04:40and they're
04:41you're like
04:42cool cool cool cool
04:43it's amazing
04:44so
04:44I think
04:45just
04:46what I want to take away from it
04:47I just want everyone to know
04:49that I'm in it
04:51I want to tell all my friends
04:53I'm in it
04:56it's a bucket list
04:58John
04:58for sure
04:59thank you so much for your time
05:00thank you so much
05:02cool

05:32I want to take away from it
05:33I want to take more time
05:33to raise a phone
05:33how to do it
05:33he's
05:33in it
