00:00or scary christmas is more like it
00:12oh hi nice to see you again nice to see you as well so uh first of all merry christmas
00:22or scary christmas is more like it
00:25yeah do you believe that three fire tree is gonna be a new christmas movie favorite
00:33i i hope so i hope so because i i know there's a lot of people that love horror movies
00:38that are
00:38christmas movies and i would love to be added to that rank of the movies that people watch during
00:43the christmas season especially when they like to get a little bit spooky do you believe that art
00:49is the devil no he's definitely not the devil but he is definitely demonic in a lot of ways i
00:56i could
00:57say that he's he's he's definitely something a little bit more he more than just a human being
01:02now that especially he's come back from the dead twice so there's something definitely extraordinary
01:08about him it's amazing how uh your work on his smile i want to know how did you work on
01:15it how
01:15did you find the precise smile oh that i think a lot of that comes naturally to me anyway i
01:22i like to say
01:23have i have a joker's face so i have i have a big smile and it's the prosthetic teeth that
01:28i i wear for
01:29the film lend to that too because damien wanted to see as much of those disgusting nasty teeth as as
01:37possible so i i can just really widen my face a lot to let those show so that it kind
01:44of comes
01:44naturally in a lot of ways okay i know yikes and um i love also um art dance moves in
01:59this one you you
02:00you you dance a lot so i'm curious how why when you you you choose to to dance in this
02:09movie i just think it's fun he he's a character that's always playful and loves to you know joke around
02:16and he's all i i i say art is performing for an audience of one and that is himself
02:22and so he does whatever is amusing to himself and i i do that myself personally and when i'm on
02:27set i
02:27dance around a lot and do funny little antics and stuff like so that's something myself i brought to
02:33the character in some ways as well and i i just think you know like when he's doing horrible things
02:38yet he's dancing around i i think that just makes him a little bit more creepy in some ways because
02:44this is something you know most people would be if they were doing something like that they would be
02:49very serious about it and he is just being silly and having fun with and i i think that just
02:55adds to the creepiness of the character so you're ready for terrifier the musical oh yes definitely so yes
03:04the sound of silence amazing amazing and um your costume too is really iconic now
03:13and i want to know uh have you ever seen um somebody with a cosplay of art and what did
03:21you
03:21feel when you saw him or her oh we we get art the clown cosplayers all the time especially conventions
03:30but uh it was our very first convention where we had not even come out netflix yet so we were
03:35still
03:35very underground movie and there was a few cosplayers that came up and we were damien and i were blown
03:43away
03:43we we were very happy by that especially myself because i used to cosplay a lot as well as the
03:48joker and so i know like i i i played the joker a lot because i love the character so
03:54much so and i
03:55know a lot of cosplayers they cosplay different characters because they love that character so much
03:59so knowing that someone put the time and effort to find a costume especially before we actually made
04:05those costumes to sell but they made them themselves and put on the makeup and all that that that just
04:11makes me
04:12very happy i i love to see that and people become very creative with these cosplays as well which i
04:18love we need a crossover because jugger 2 is also a musical so we need a musical with joker and
04:25art
04:26oh that would be fun that would be a lot of fun i would love that
04:32and um it's interesting how horror uh really is um the genre that describes best today's world
04:40in in in the last few years since the pandemic i think it's the genre that describes best
04:46nowadays do you agree and and why in your opinion i i think it's because this is how we've all
04:54we want
04:54as a collective uh as as as a species because this was a global pandemic this is something that happened
05:02worldwide we all went through a lot of trauma during that year or so that we were all under lockdown
05:07and all
05:08fearing for our lives so i think this is a way for people to process that trauma it's because we're
05:14watching most horror films especially slasher films are are about a survivor's journey and how they
05:22deal with trauma and how they overcome that trauma that or the horrible things that are coming at them
05:28and i i think that way when people are watching horror films they're able to it's a cathartic
05:34release for them it's it's it's like okay i know things can be bad for me but oh it could
05:40be a lot
05:40worse for these people so you know it's i think it's it's a nice release for people
05:46and um since you know all the tricks because you are an actor you are on set what scares you
05:54now when
05:54you watch uh another movie not a lot it's i i'm the stuff that really gets me are more like
06:01the the
06:02paranormal like movies like i i remember like the uh the paranormal activity movies those those movies
06:10freak me out a lot and i i guess because that that seems more realistic to me because i've i've
06:15lived
06:16in places that are haunted before so i've actually encountered those type of experiences but those
06:21movies are a little bit more extreme because i never encounter anything bad or anything like that
06:25was trying to kill me so i was like i find those be scarier i i do personally i don't
06:31like dark
06:31spaces i don't like looking into dark voids like when i sleep at night i have to close my doors
06:37and close my closet and all that because i can't stand that because i just feel like something would
06:42be in there looking out at me and i do not like that feeling it creeps me out when you
06:46were a little
06:47kid uh were you afraid of of clowns because it's really a common thing or no or not no i
06:54loved clowns i
06:55i used to watch the bozo show as a kid uh the joker was my favorite comic book villain but
07:01oddly
07:01enough i had a when i was really little i had a migo joker figure and it that that scared
07:08me for a
07:09while my mom had to hide it from me until i was about two or three years old and then
07:12i was fine with
07:13it but it when i was really little that's that that character scared me and since uh terrifier is is
07:19known for is uh it's gore scenes uh how do you uh decompress after uh an intense scene um i
07:28usually
07:29like if it's on set i usually just sit around and make jokes that's i'm always joking around on set
07:35doing silly voices or just being silly on set that's how i usually deal with it or if i'm at
07:42home like a
07:43day or so afterwards i'm usually just sitting down watching tv or playing video games or something
07:49like that just something just to chill out
07:55and and do you enjoy uh scaring people oh i do i do i've been my mother and i used
08:02to do that to
08:03each other all the time around the house we had an ongoing competition uh you never know when one of
08:09us was going to strike and i've done that to different people i've lived with over the years
08:13or i like to just hide and jump out and scare people like i do i do it on set
08:17too a lot where
08:18i i'll just sneak up behind i did it to lauren especially a lot because she has a fear of
08:22clowns
08:23and i would sneak up behind her many times and just just stand behind her and wait for her to
08:28turn
08:28around i'm like right in her face and she'd scream or something like that and i was risking my life
08:33because she has a black belt and so she could have really kicked my butt but you know it's worth
08:40it
08:40for the scare and for the joke and it was destiny yeah and and in this chapter it's interesting how
08:50um
08:51we see that imagination uh sienna's father's imagination is the strongest weapon against
08:58art and do you believe it's true imagination is is a powerful thing even in today's world
09:06oh definitely so definitely so i mean it's like without imagination we wouldn't have any of the
09:13the things we enjoy especially films and uh tv shows and books and music it's the arts are born from
09:20imagination and in a way art is born from imagination in a lot of ways which is it's kind of
09:28poetic
09:28in that way but yeah imagination is something uh i think it's i i feel like so many adults
09:34lose a lot of their imagination as they get older and and i i feel like it's important to
09:41i i guess hold on to that part of yourself that inner child that imaginative version of yourself
09:48because i i feel like when you do that you you live a longer life and you you you find
09:53more joy in life
09:54mm-hmm and uh art is now uh amongst the greatest uh horror masks of all time and in this
10:06third
10:06chapter uh you've got a chainsaw so i want to know who will win between art uh leatherface and and
10:15ash
10:17in your opinion oh boy that would be a hard one i mean i i think leatherface would definitely lose
10:22because
10:22he's he's he's um arts fast but uh between ash and art that would be that would be something else
10:30um
10:32oh that's tough because you know art's quite resilient too but ash is very very well used to
10:38dealing with someone like art you know especially with deadites and so i think that would that would be a
10:43very tough battle between the two of them but i i hate to say it i think ash would probably
10:49triumph in the
10:49and i hate to say that but just like you know hail to the king baby
10:57amazing groovy yes of course groovy
11:00yes and and um in deadpool and wolverine uh they say that yuk jackman is gonna play
11:08wolverine till he's 90 uh terrifier cool could go on forever so are you ready to play art till you're
11:1692
11:17i would love to i would i love this character as long as i'm physically able to i i fully
11:24intend
11:24to keep playing the character and i i i'm always finding new things to do with them and so as
11:30long
11:30as i can keep finding new new uh ways to tell his story and have fun experiences with him i
11:37will keep
11:37playing him he he's my buddy i love him
11:42okay thank you so much great job you're very welcome thank you thank you
12:07so
