00:02It's another big Wednesday night on Tubi.
00:05We have a huge opportunity in our main event,
00:07but it looks like we're starting things off this week
00:09just how we ended one week ago on Evolve.
00:12That's right, Blake Howard.
00:13It's great to be back on another Wednesday night here on Tubi.
00:15And tensions are still boiling over.
00:18Whatever started last Wednesday
00:19is about to explode right here tonight.
00:25The following contest is scheduled for one fall.
00:29Introducing first, from Los Angeles, California, Nikita Lyons.
00:39As Nikita Lyons set for action here, and Peter, last week,
00:42we saw a huge Evolve Women's Championship matchup,
00:45and Nikita Lyons and other plans.
00:47Yes, we had a hell of a main event between Wendy Chu and Lainey Lung,
00:52when out of nowhere, here comes Nikita Lyons and Sloane Jacobs,
00:55completely derailing the match and ruining the night for everyone in the Evolve universe.
00:59And then, we hear the slashes, and out comes Carmen Petrovic.
01:04We had to go off the air right as she made her entrance.
01:06But look at this, Carmen comes in and cleans house.
01:13And now the stakes are even higher,
01:14as Carmen and Nikita carry that intensity into this one-on-one match
01:19to kick things off tonight on Tubi.
01:32And her opponent, from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Carmen Petrovic.
01:43Carmen Petrovic certainly didn't take too kindly to Nikita Lyons,
01:46trying to take the performance center into a music video studio.
01:49But right now, Petrovic looking to teach Nikita a few things inside the ring.
01:54And as I said last week, we could be looking at a huge strike fest right here.
01:58These are two ladies who both can knock you out with either foot.
02:03Dangerous with the kicks, that is for sure.
02:06A different style, but both Nikita and Carmen can get it done.
02:12Bell sounds are underway here, and Peter, we're looking at two superstars here,
02:15who in the past both have had evolved Women's Championship opportunities,
02:18and would absolutely love to get right back in a position to be Wendy Chu's next challenge.
02:22And I can make an argument for either one being the better fit as champion.
02:27I mean, both of these women have proven a lot.
02:30They both got it done on multiple levels, talk about NXT, talk about here on Evolve.
02:34And also, both are charismatic and interesting in their own ways as well.
02:38And last week, we saw things really ramp up the intensity between these two.
02:42Carmen Petrovic calling Nikita Lyons a self-centered narcissist.
02:46Well listen, Carmen Petrovic kinda has a lot behind that right now,
02:50after what Nikita did last week to break up that championship match.
02:54Of course, Nikita Lyons does have a kickboxing background.
02:57Carmen Petrovic, a third-degree black belt in karate.
03:01As we see right here, these two squaring off.
03:03Look at that, Nikita, little sportsmanship.
03:06Come on, Carmen.
03:08Do the right thing.
03:09How much credibility in this handshake here?
03:11Oh, apparently none.
03:12Carmen didn't take too kindly to it, and you almost wonder,
03:15is Nikita Lyons considered fake by the rest of the locker room?
03:18Fake?
03:19Why would you say that, Blake?
03:21Well, some of the shots Carmen was taking at her,
03:23it seems like Nikita Lyons, she preaches certain things,
03:25but doesn't necessarily follow it in her own way.
03:27I think Nikita Lyons is just a complex individual, all right?
03:31Big Cat Kida dances to the beat of her own drum,
03:35so sometimes things may not always make sense on paper,
03:38but trust me, she knows what she's doing.
03:41As Carmen Petrovic, you know,
03:42she treats every opportunity very seriously.
03:44Certainly would turn the head of Forman Thatcher
03:46if she can knock off Nikita Lyons here tonight.
03:48To kick things off on Evolve.
03:50And of course, NXT, big opportunity on the road this weekend,
03:53Buffalo, Camp Man, Johnstown.
03:55Certainly want to turn the head of Robert Stone as well.
03:59Robert Stone sent me a text yesterday,
04:01he was very excited, he found a motel room for under $50.
04:05In a motel?
04:05Yeah, that's right.
04:06One of those ones where you drive right up to the front door.
04:09He was very excited, a motor lodge, if you will.
04:12As Nikita Lyons, the Irish Rooper, first one in the corner,
04:14you see one of those big strikes indeed.
04:16Exactly.
04:17By Carmen, but oh!
04:18Watch out!
04:18Shifts her way into the cover!
04:20Only gets two.
04:21I just love the contrast of styles, you know?
04:24I mean, Carmen Petrovic and Nikita Lyons are both so different.
04:27You know, both have now kind of become stalwarts of Evolve.
04:31You know, each one making their way here from time in NXT,
04:34but both have found stable ground here in Evolve.
04:37And both just do it very differently,
04:39but in impressive ways nonetheless.
04:41As Petrovic controlling the pace right now,
04:43we, of course, talk about Carmen's work ethic.
04:45She would love to get back into position
04:46to be a regular on Tuesday nights.
04:48Of course, we talk about the evolution here
04:51on Wednesdays on Evolve.
04:52And Carmen has had NXT Women's North American Championship
04:55opportunities in the past on NXT TV,
04:57put a part of premium live events.
04:59Certainly would love to be back in that position yet again,
05:01and be the next star to find their way back to Tuesday nights.
05:05Both of these ladies just jump off the screen in different ways,
05:08as you see some of the creative offense there
05:11from Carmen Petrovic and the sneaky quickness.
05:13Oh, watch out, Nikita.
05:14As Petrovic comes back the other way,
05:16innovative way to maneuver into the backslide.
05:20Only getting one right there as Carmen
05:22looking to set up Nikita Lyons here,
05:24variation of a crucifix.
05:26I just wonder if this thing, one way or another,
05:29either for Carmen or for Nikita,
05:31ends with a kick right to the jump.
05:34Very well could be the striking blow as we're talking about opportunity right here
05:38to potentially get back into the Evolve Women's Championship picture.
05:41We know there's a huge opportunity in front of one of four men tonight.
05:44Who's gonna be the next to face Errora for the Evolve Championship?
05:47Well, I'll tell you right now who is upset about what transpired last week,
05:51and has kind of been forgotten about here tonight, and that is Lainey Luck.
05:54Lainey Luck had her chance at Wendy Chu, and thanks to Sloan Jacobs and Nikita Lyons,
05:59she didn't get to see that opportunity through.
06:01Yeah, if you're Sloan Jacobs or Nikita Lyons, the son of the ring,
06:03you're gonna need to have eyes in the back of your head,
06:05because Lainey Luck, none too pleased with how that match ended last week.
06:08And I wonder how the champ, Wendy Chu, feels about it as well.
06:11Obviously, a competitor wants to be a fighting champion,
06:13did not want that match to end that way.
06:15As you see this, the absolute discomfort Nikita Lyons did.
06:18What an awful position to be in, completely stretched the wrong way or face on the mat.
06:24Petrovic very much looking in the driver's seat right now,
06:26but Nikita Lyons not having a lot of places to move.
06:29Certainly not what she expected, maybe for her next music video.
06:32Yeah, absolutely not.
06:33Uh-oh, watch out.
06:33Shifts the weight.
06:35Near fall attempt there, nice counter by Nikita Lyons.
06:37Oh, and Nikita catches Carmen right in the jaw.
06:40And Petrovic right in the outstretched arms of Big Cat Kita,
06:44and she's gonna go overhead with the fall away slam,
06:48and Nikita Lyons starting to roll right now.
06:50Peter, who's walking out with the victory here tonight on Evolve?
06:56On Saturday, June 27th, returning to Kingdom Arena in Saudi Arabia.
07:05It's a night of glory, a night of greatness, a night of champions.
07:17Live from Kingdom Arena, tickets on sale now.
07:23Back in action here, opening contest on Evolve.
07:25Blake Howard, Peter Rosenberg, and Nikita Lyons has kept up the momentum throughout the break.
07:30She has, and Nikita Lyons is bringing it to Carmen Petrovic right now.
07:34And obviously dreaming of her chance to lead this women's division the way Wendy Chu currently is.
07:40Of course, both of these stars are part of that gauntlet eliminator to determine
07:45the most recent Evolve women's champion.
07:47Think about how hot we'd be as a company on social media if Nikita was champion.
07:53I mean, the content would be through the roof.
07:57As Nikita right now measuring up Petrovic in the corner.
08:01I mean, listen, if this were a battle on Instagram only, Nikita Lyons is winning easily, am I right?
08:06I mean, Nikita would probably be the WWE Women's Champion.
08:08It's a great point.
08:10Over a million followers and everybody entertained every week by the great displays of spirituality,
08:16dancing, and our in-ring skills.
08:20Nikita multimedia indeed.
08:21That's right.
08:22As Carmen, here we go with the roll-up, only gets two.
08:26Oh, and a big strike by Lyons.
08:29That might have just laid out Petrovic's center of the ring.
08:32And Carmen somehow able to hang on.
08:34But Nikita was already planning her victory post.
08:37I mean, Peter, to that point, you have to wonder sometimes with Nikita Lyons,
08:41is it more about multimedia or is it about championships?
08:44How dare you?
08:45How dare you, Blake?
08:47I noticed that you like practically every one of her posts.
08:50I see you lurking in the comments.
08:51And then you question whether or not her commitment to a good social media account
08:55would somehow make her a less valid competitor of the ring.
08:59You've done quite a bit of research on Nikita Lyons' Instagram, Twitter, X, everything.
09:04Just Instagram, but I enjoy the work.
09:06Yeah, I do.
09:07Unlike you, at least I admit it.
09:09Well, Nikita is in control.
09:10She's certainly a multi-faceted superstar.
09:13And right now, she's looking to pick up a big win and put herself right back
09:16in a championship contention.
09:18Carmen Petrovic, though, also has really found her way on Evolve.
09:22I think she would make an incredible Women Champion as well.
09:25Oh, what a counter there by Carmen.
09:28Sending Lyons face first into the canvas.
09:31You know, if Carmen lacks maybe the power of Nikita Lyons, she certainly makes up for
09:36the agility and the innovation with her moves.
09:38As Petrovic, carrying it from the Evolve Universe right now, trying to put herself
09:43right back in position right now.
09:45He's still exchanging blows in the center of the ring.
09:47You have to imagine, Peter, the winner of this would certainly emerge as a top contender for
09:51Wendy Chute.
09:53Absolutely.
09:54These are two big wins.
09:55Oh!
09:56Lyons gonna eat the feet.
09:58And now Petrovic.
10:01Maybe they're gonna set up for that Petrifier.
10:03She's looking for it.
10:04Oh!
10:05And another big strike.
10:07Carmen's starting to feel it here, Peter.
10:10Nikita's eating too many feet right now.
10:12One more kick could be the end for Nikita Lyons.
10:15And the Shing Blade.
10:17Here we go.
10:18Center of the ring, hooks the outside leg.
10:21Petrovic again, only two.
10:23Very, very close.
10:24But you see the Evolve Universe clearly getting behind Petrovic.
10:28Blake, that's something I've noticed since Carmen Petrovic got to Evolve,
10:31was just an instant connection with the fans here.
10:34People really wanna see Carmen Petrovic succeed.
10:37Whether it's been in an NXT live event, NXT TV here at Evolve,
10:41Carmen has certainly won over the fan base.
10:44But Nikita might be looking for that.
10:46Nikita ball!
10:47No one home for Nikita Lyons.
10:50Wait a minute.
10:51Sloane Jacobs, the new friend of Nikita Lyons, maybe her co-star, if you will.
10:56Oh!
10:57And there's Lady Luck, Peter.
10:58We talked about it.
10:59Can't be too happy about what transpired a week ago.
11:01You mentioned it, and absolutely right.
11:03Lady Luck not having it.
11:05And watch out.
11:06Oh!
11:06And there's Wendy Chu, the champion, also with a little bit of vengeance.
11:12Connects with the Petrifier.
11:13Center of the ring.
11:14And Carmen Petrovic pulls out the victory.
11:20Here is your winner, Carmen Petrovic!
11:26That's what happens when you're in my matches.
11:29That's what you get.
11:31Carmen Petrovic kicks off the night with a victory.
11:34Very well said, Blake.
11:35We talked about it earlier that Laney Luck was not happy with Wendy Chu either.
11:38And both have their presence felt.
11:41What an exciting start to the night.
11:43Definitely.
11:44As you see, Nikita starting off strong, showing her power game.
11:47In addition to those fast-thinking feet.
11:49But Sloane Jacobs sticking her nose in other people's business again this week.
11:53But Laney Luck and Wendy Chu were prepared and not having it.
11:58Chu trips up Nikita.
12:00And that's all it took for Carmen to hit the Petrifier and put Lyons away.
12:05One, two, three.
12:07One, two, three!
12:12Certainly very impressive Nikita Lyons.
12:14None too pleased as Wendy Chu looking around.
12:17But it's all about Carmen Petrovic, who comes away with a big victory to kick off the night
12:22right here on Tudor.
