00:00Is there a real risk here that Washington ends up making life harder for ordinary people
00:03while actually leaving the political leadership largely untouched by actions like this?
00:08Yeah, I think there is a real possibility of that.
00:10In fact, it seems like that's what's already happening.
00:15And so, again, going back to my earlier point,
00:18I think that we need to have a multi-pronged strategy in dealing with Cuba.
00:23And right now, it seems that we are just doing this de facto blockade,
00:28and that is disproportionately impacting the Cuban people.
00:31But let's also be clear about this.
00:34I think the U.S. is doing it by design.
00:37The idea is that we want to try to foment unrest in the streets
00:41and have the people overturn the government so that American fingerprints are off of Cuba, right?
00:49We could just say it was the Cuban people who rose up against the regime.
00:53It had nothing to do with us, except, of course,
00:55the United States has been the instigator the entire time by imposing this de facto blockade.
01:01And the Cuban regime knows it.
01:03The Cuban people, I think, know it.
01:04And the international community knows it.
01:06The Cuban people said it.
01:06We said it.
01:07We said it.
01:07We said it today.
01:09We said it.
01:09We said it.
