00:00. . .
00:13I wake up, it's 3.30 in the morning,
00:16I look at my phone and my dad's calling,
00:18and I was like, something must be up.
00:21So, I answer the phone and he says,
00:24Jack, I'm in trouble.
00:28Thursday and Friday, I was having heartburn.
00:31It was really bad, and I've had it before,
00:33I would drink some water, maybe some apple cider vinegar,
00:35it would be fine.
00:36So, I knew it was something a little bit different here,
00:39but once it started to hit, pain scale,
00:41I'm probably at like an 8 or a 9 out of 10 now.
00:44I'm like, okay, I'm in trouble.
00:45My first question that I asked him when he called me was,
00:49are you on FSD?
00:50And he said yes.
00:51I had that realization that, wow,
00:53this is something where it's not minutes,
00:56it's seconds.
00:56Every second matters.
00:58And then the pain kind of went to the next level,
01:00kind of like an 11 out of 10.
01:02We kind of just jumped into planning mode.
01:04We just land at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, Georgia.
01:07I pick up my phone, open the Tesla app,
01:10and I search the hospital, and I press it, boom, navigate,
01:13and immediately the car was able to just reroute
01:17and turn them around.
01:18I was sitting there processing it, got off,
01:21and it took to left.
01:23It got me back going to Atlanta,
01:24because at this point, I knew what the capability was
01:26and it was going to do it.
01:27I just knew it.
01:28In the back of my head,
01:29I just kind of rest easy in that moment,
01:31just knowing that he would get there safely
01:35and in a timely manner.
01:37Got there, it stopped, and I pulled my seatbelt.
01:39I got out, and they had a person with a wheelchair
01:41to take me in.
01:55There's like three or four really critical things that happened.
01:58One was that FSD was driving.
02:02I mean, it was able to get me there quickly.
02:03The hospital had the capability to have the right team.
02:08My son, Jack, college student, getting a phone call
02:12at 3.30 in the morning and picking it up right away.
02:14Having a system that is able to drive so well and safely
02:19and get there in a timely manner was so crucial
02:23because in talking with the medical team,
02:27this was a seconds-mattered situation
02:30that if he'd gotten there minutes later,
02:33this could have been a totally different story.
02:36The technology works.
02:38It's something I use continuously all the time.
02:42The more we use it, I think the safer the roads will become.
02:45the more we use it, I think the better the road will become.
03:01and uh, going back again .
03:01It's already being a big deal.
