00:00The President has pointed out that we will be prepared to recommence.
00:04If underneath the timeline of these talks, Iran does not do what it says it's going to
00:09do, which is give up nuclear weapons, give up nuclear ambitions, give away their nuclear
00:13material, close nuclear facilities, then the War Department is here and prepared to restart
00:19if we need to.
00:20We prefer not to, but we are prepared and postured to.
00:23When it comes to our alignment or posture in the region, we'll review what capabilities
00:30we need.
00:31You know, when the blockade opens fully, we'll step back and allow commerce to flow.
00:35But if Iran doesn't comply, then we're more than able to reimpose an ironclad blockade.
00:41We've had basing in that region for a long time.
00:44A lot of that will stay just as it is.
00:46And we'll look at how many troops we need in the area and calibrate accordingly.
00:51But we're going to be the big stick behind the negotiations that never existed under President
00:56Obama.
00:57We just didn't.
00:58It was a paper tiger hoping that they agreed.
01:01We have put a military operation in place that set the conditions.
01:06Not to mention President Trump killing Qasem Soleimani.
01:09Not to mention Bid Night Hammer.
01:11Not to mention not just the offensive operations of Epic Fury, but the blockade, which they haven't
01:17been able to have any answer for, and Project Freedom, which ran hundreds of millions of
01:21barrels of oil through, we have set the terms.
01:24And so our military posture will continue to ensure Iran does the right thing at the table
01:29with this deal.
01:30And the belief is that from this MOU going forward, they will have every opportunity to do just
01:38back to ensure Iran never has a nuclear weapon.
01:41How was the meeting with the U.K.
01:43counterpart and what did you make for the president of the president?
01:46It was a good meeting with the new counterpart of the U.K.
01:49Obviously the U.S.-Critish Defense Alliance is an important one.
01:54My message to him, he's actually a fellow service member, just a couple of majors getting together
02:00talking about defense of their nation.
02:01I love the fact that he's been in the combat zone, he talked about the similarities we have
02:07there.
02:08But the message was the same.
02:09Hey, we need you guys to step up and do even more, spend even more.
02:14And if we need access and basing, whether it's in the U.K. or say at Diego Garcia, we can't
02:20live in a world where other countries are standing at the end of a runway with a clipboard trying
02:24to decide what flies and what doesn't.
02:26It's not going to work for us.
02:27It's not good in contingencies.
02:29And I don't think it's what he wants either.
02:31So at the Minister of Defense level, I think it's the start of a continued really good relationship.
02:36The more the U.K. spends on defense, the stronger NATO is going to be, the stronger Western civilization
02:43is.
02:44And that's a good thing.
