00:00Welcome to all of you on behalf of the Ramoji family and also if ISB is kind enough as the
00:11future alumni of ISB.
00:15One day I shall be here is one dream.
00:21Let us hope so.
00:23Thank you very much for joining us, Consul General.
00:26And it is a rare privilege to have Rajat Gupta Ji in his August presence in our midst.
00:35And J.B. Prasad Garu has been a very good friend of the family.
00:40Thank you very much all distinguished guests.
00:44And the youngsters, I feel jealous of you.
00:48I wish I was about 30 years younger.
00:50And I had probably not chosen to, you know, graduate somewhere else.
01:00But anyway, I will get going here.
01:03So, Father was an agnostic management thinker.
01:09He never believed in formal education.
01:12The one thing he used to tell us is that go to any institution in the world, we will send
01:18you there, but then come back, unlearn whatever you have learned there, and then start learning again in my university,
01:27the Ramoji University, and which is what we exactly did.
01:32But he never stood in our way of going abroad or studying abroad, neither us or his grandchildren, but a
01:45very avid reader of Dale Carnegie and Drucker,
01:53right in the, way back in the 1958, 1959, very avid reader, and to the last day, he was a
02:02practitioner of management principles, though he never believed in formal management education.
02:11I think the relationship began with Thomas Schmidhaini Center here and Professor Kavil.
02:19Until the relationship began with ISB, and then hopefully it will continue to grow and flourish.
02:27And thank you once again for being here, all of you distinguished guests.
02:35And let us look forward to a very enjoyable evening.
