00:00I was thinking a lot about my family, and that I wanted to have children, so we decided to come here for a while.
00:07Being closer to Brazil, it really made sense to see the growth of the MLS league along with that aspect.
00:21more familiar, so that's when I talked to my wife, we decided, I could see that she was
00:29I'm also very happy to have this opportunity to come here, so we made this decision and it was very...
00:39It's also good to be part of this league, to see its growth, and also for my family.
00:48I arrived and it grew a lot, it grew a lot, every year you can see that they want it and they have the possibility.
00:58It's certainly one of the world's leading powers. From when I arrived until now, there's been tremendous growth.
01:06And I'm sure it will continue to grow, especially now, with more people coming here.
01:12Watching this World Cup, you can see that the people here are watching with great enthusiasm what football can be like.
01:20It's becoming something here, you know? And here in the United States, I'm saying it's growing, man, it has...
01:26Many Latinos, so they are people who are passionate about soccer, so, as I told you, having this
01:33The World Cup will bring many more people to the states now, mainly because of what's happening now.
01:40Everyone's watching the World Cup, since it's here and the Americans are there, so it's going to change a lot.
01:46But yes, that rivalry exists; they even say that New York, New York City, is from New York.
01:57Yes, we are building.
01:58They are building the stadium in New York; the Red Bulls' stadium is in New Jersey.
02:05So they say there's only one team in New York, so there are these taunts, there's this rivalry.
02:11So, completely different from what we see in Brazil, I've been to a Brooklyn Nets basketball game.
02:18And of the Knicks, I've already been to a baseball game, I'll still go to the game, I hope, I'm trying to go to all the...
02:27sports
02:27Possible options to take advantage of, since I don't know how long I'll be here, my contract ends at the end of the year.
02:33So, I'm going to try to make the most of this year so I can follow all the teams and all the games.
02:39And to have that experience, you know, because here it's not just about going there to watch the game, they actually do it here.
02:45Yes, you have the experience.
02:47To be there, which would have meant marking him a few years ago, back in Barcelona, so, yeah, you have to be aware.
02:56You have to stay close the whole time, you can't give him any space, because any little space, and he'll make it happen.
03:02So, it's not easy, but at the same time I say it's rewarding to know that I'm in a league.
03:09It gives me the opportunity to play against great players like him; he often creates plays from places he's in.
03:18Thinking three times ahead, you know, so you have to, you can't score him thinking that he
03:23will play
03:24The simple, often the simple, which for many players, for him, his simple, is often,
03:33It's unusual, you know, it seems very easy, how he controls it, how he spins it, so it is, for many players,
03:42I say this, it would be extraordinary, but for him, he does it, it seems very simple, you know,
03:48So, it is, it is, it's out of the ordinary, it is, you can understand why it's so big and, and
03:57For everything he has achieved.
03:58I had the opportunity to go and watch some games at the Club World Cup, yes, I've been to a few games.
04:05also
04:05Regarding the World Cup, I see, of course, there are many more people here, right, from other countries, so that
04:14brings a greater
04:14Greater visibility is important for football, and I do see this in a positive light, I think, no, I hope,
04:25And I think,
04:26I'm almost certain this will bring much more visibility, not just to MLS.
