00:05oh my god
00:38oh
00:39go go go
01:03So it's very difficult to say with certainty what precipitated this.
01:06I can tell you that there was an exchange of gunfire between individuals, and the two
01:11firearms were recovered.
01:12But as I said, investigators are piecing it all together.
01:15This is a very chaotic scene.
01:16I think we had something in the neighborhood of 13,000 people participating in this festival,
01:20so it's crowded.
01:21I mean, just the brazen, despicable quality of this exchange here, the amount of danger
01:26to the members of the public, as the mayor commented, is just so unacceptable.
01:30And there may be more than, maybe, there's obviously several suspects, so we're going
01:35to put it all together.
01:36So there have been no arrests?
01:37There have been no arrests at this time in relation to this incident.
01:39At this time, I'll say there's just about three crime scenes, so areas that have been
01:43cordoned off and that will be more carefully examined and essentially the generality of
01:48St. Clair.
01:49As to the number of suspects outstanding, I don't have that information available to share
01:52as yet.
01:53We'll certainly share that as the investigation unfolds.
01:56Do you believe there are...
01:56This seemed to be an exchange of gunfire between individuals targeting each other,
02:01obviously indiscriminately putting vast numbers of people in great danger, but an active shooter
02:05is something that we put out because we weren't sure in the initial few moments of what it
02:11was.
02:11It turned out not to be an active shooter in the classic state sense of the word.
02:15We do not believe at this time that there's some sort of active threat to people that live
02:18in and around this area.
