The Porsche Taycan Turbo GT has officially landed, and it’s rewriting the rulebook for performance in Australia.

With the Weissach package, Porsche has stripped out the rear seats, added a mountain of carbon fiber, and created a 1,092hp (815kW) monster that hits 0-100km/h in a mind-bending 2.2 seconds. REV

It briefly held the Nürburgring lap record, and while the competition is heating up, one thing remains true: it delivers Lamborghini Revuelto-level performance for about half the price.

00:00This is the Porsche GT3 RS of EVs.
00:06It's called the Taycan Turbo GT and with the Visec package that adds all of this carbon fiber
00:11and reduces weight, it's the quickest and most powerful car that you can buy in Australia and
00:18like a GT3 RS, it has no rear seats. It's all carbon fiber.
00:22But all of this carbon fiber isn't just for show. This rear wing helps with downforce and
00:27it helped this thing set a lap record at the Nürburgring until something called a Yangwang
00:32and then a Xiaomi came along. But none of that takes away from the fact that this is the quickest
00:36and most powerful car that you can buy in Australia with 1092 horsepower, 815 kilowatts
00:43in launch mode and with the Visec pack, the lower weight, 0 to 100 kilometers an hour in 2.2
00:49seconds,
00:49it is just ridiculously fast. At about half the price of a Lamborghini Revolta which touches on
00:55a million dollars and gets similar performance, you guys let me know, is this a performance bargain?
