We’re only a couple days away from the legendary Race Of Champions, and it’s the first time Australia’s gotten to host!

We sat down with NASCAR champ Kurt Busch and asked him everything from his driving pet peeves to his dream co-driver.

00:00If you could drive one car from a movie for a week, which one would it be?
00:03Herbie. Herbie the love bug. I actually have a Volkswagen bug.
00:06Do you have any driving pet peeves?
00:09Stop signs and speed limits?
00:11No, speed bumps. I mean, why do we need speed bumps?
00:13And they hurt my suspension on the car, yeah.
00:15If you could steal one skill from another driver, which would it be?
00:18I would say the ability to brake with your own foot making it like an ABS.
00:24In a NASCAR car, we push the brake pedal and it kind of just sits there on a plateau
00:28where some of these European guys, they go into the corner and they're like manually doing this ABS.
00:33So they're really disciplined on their braking.
00:35If you could swap lives with any athlete from a different sport for a week, who would it be and
00:39why?
00:39You know, in America, soccer is growing. It's not as well known.
00:43We have so many NFL games and Major League Baseball.
00:46I guess I'd be a soccer guy. I would exchange it with Messi.
00:49With Messi?
00:49Yeah, yeah. I just love his charisma and his character out on the field.
00:52If he had to pick one dream co-driver, dead or alive, for an endurance race, who would it be?
00:57Oh, that's cool.
00:58All those guys that do the car rally, you know, in the States, we go into Mexico for the Baja
01:041000.
01:05Those are the guys that you want.
01:06You want the ones that can just do it day after day after day.
01:09You know, I would go with Sainz.
01:11If you could add one feature to every road car to make it more fun, what would it be?
01:15A handbrake.
01:16Some of these new cars don't have the handbrake, so it's hard to pitch it sideways into the corner.
01:20Something that's gonna happen to cook, but you know the way to eat properly.
01:20You know, before that, for the big day, I got down.
01:20You know, the first channel, I put myself in a classroom.
01:20I'm going to check it out.
01:20I'm doing so.
01:20Thank you very much.
