If you think all airport lounges are the same, think again. Welcome to The Pier, Cathay Pacific’s flagship business lounge at Hong Kong International Airport (HKG)—a lounge so good, you might actually want a longer layover.

In this video, I’ll take you on a full tour of The Pier, from the legendary Noodle Bar (yes, the crispy pork belly is worth it) to the Teahouse, private daybeds, luxury shower suites, and even the fully stocked bar. Whether you’re flying business class, first class, or using

00:00Come with me inside one of the nicest business class lounges in Asia. This is
00:03the Cathay Pacific business class lounge in Hong Kong International Airport, The Pier.
00:08Come on, let me show you around.
00:20If you think all airport lounges are the same, this one might change your mind.
00:24It's got a proper luxury hotel vibe, warm wood, soft leather and just the right
00:28lighting. It's one of those places where the second you walk in you kind of forget
00:31you're in an airport. But let's be real, the main reason why I'm here, the noodle bar.
00:38You can order fresh dandan noodles, classic wonton soup, whatever you pick they make
00:43its order. And the crispy pork belly, yeah that's happening. Alright so we are at the
00:48noodle house inside the lounge. I've got a bit of a crispy pork with rice, some
00:53barbecue pork and some Shanghainese style noodles. Look at that.
01:06It's good.
01:10And if noodles aren't your thing, which honestly I don't understand, but there's also a tea house.
01:15Properly brewed oolong, jasmine, green tea, all done the right way. Or if you need something stronger,
01:20the bar's got everything from solid coffee to pre-flight cocktails. Either way, you're sorted.
01:27Now if you've got a long layover, this is where you want to be. Private day beds, quiet,
01:31comfortable, kind of makes you forget you've got a flight to catch. And if you need to freshen up,
01:35the shower suites are legit. Rainfall showers, proper amenities and more space than you'd expect
01:39in an airport. If you've actually got work to do, there's a solid business area. Fast wifi,
01:46quiet spaces and plenty of outlets. So yeah, you can still be productive before takeoff.
01:52But honestly, the pier just makes the whole airport experience so much better.
01:55It's one of those places that actually makes you want a long layover.
01:59So if you're flying through Hong Kong, definitely check it out. Just don't blame me if you lose track of
02:04time.
02:04Bye.
02:05Bye.
