00:00Come with me inside this jaw-dropping $12,000 a night suite inside Australia's tallest hotel.
00:13Now the Ritz Carlton Melbourne recently opened up in early 2023 and towers at 80 stories high.
00:18To check in you'll need to head up all the way to level 80 to this stunning lobby,
00:22which also makes it Australia's highest hotel reception.
00:27Just a heads up, your ears will probably pop in the elevator. From here you'll get stunning views
00:31of the entire city. You'll see everything from the Mornington Peninsula across Port Phillip Bay
00:35all the way to Williamstown and beyond. Alright, come with me down to the 79th floor,
00:39which has all of the suites. And they're most luxe, this is the Ritz Carlton suite,
00:43which will set you back $12,000 a night give or take. So as soon as you walk in you'll
00:46be met
00:47with a spacious living area with more of that sweeping view of Melbourne city.
00:52There's a lounge area with a stunning big mirror that doubles as a TV. There's a fully stocked
00:56bar for entertaining and there's even a naughty corner chair here if you want some alone time
00:59just to admire the views. Over here is a private dining room for entertaining which connects to a
01:03commercial kitchen. And now to the bedroom. So you'll walk through a cool little study room before
01:07making your way into the bedroom. Through here is a walk-in wardrobe that's bigger than some apartments
01:13and now to my favourite part of the suite, the bathroom. Check out that stunning plummy bath.
01:21There's a built-in sauna over here, a double shower over here that doubles as a steam room,
01:25and the bathroom is fully stocked with luxe tic-a-tic amenities. Now all guests who stay
01:29in a suite have access to the Ritz Carlton lounge. Ever wonder why you've never run into a celebrity
01:34at the breakfast buffet or checking in at the lobby? Well it's because they whisked away up here,
01:38to be checked in, checked out and also where they're able to privately dine. The all-access kitchen and
01:42dining area is not only well stocked but it boasts more of that panoramic 360 Melbourne view.
01:50I managed to sneak in and have breakfast here and just look at how silky those eggs are.
01:55The in-house restaurant Atria serves up seasonal modern Australian food. Here's some pics of
01:59everything I ate. And the award-winning bar up at level 80 heralds cocktails made with antique spirits.
02:06This one here is actually an old-fashioned, made with a hundred-year-old whisky.
02:10I'd have to say the Ritz Carlton is one of the most luxurious places I've stayed in in Australia.
02:14The staff are the cream of the crop when it comes to hospitality talent. And the design,
02:19architecture and thoughtful details all harmoniously work together in paying a beautiful tribute to the
02:23city. Nice one Melbourne.
