00:18I want to chat a little bit about the 2023 season. Obviously, there's a lot happening. Let's kick off with
00:22some jerseys.
00:23Alright, so to start with, you can't go past. World Champion should have been three-time MVP. Don't want to
00:28upset anyone.
00:29Something that's probably exciting and fresh for this season is the Association Whites being re-released for the first time
00:36in years.
00:36We've got a few more through LeBron. Obviously, the statement re-up here in the Lakers.
00:43And as you come through more here, one of my favourites is this modern take on a classic.
00:49So, Sons have gone super retro on their new rebrand.
00:52And then just finishing it off, I'd say I can't go past the Steph Curry in the Association White.
00:58Again, first time it's been available in the market for years. So, everyone's getting pretty excited about the clean, white,
01:03fresh look.
01:04But to be honest, everyone's got their own taste. And there's no one jersey nowadays that stands out over anything
01:09else.
01:10Obviously, LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Steph Curry are your guys.
01:14But, you know, you've got guys like Giannis now, who's arguably the greatest in the world.
01:18And you can go on and go on and go on. And there's stories around the Celtics and all this.
01:23And like, it's hard to put a finger on which one is the most popular.
01:27But that's why we stock the range that we do.
01:31Basketball shoes, but not in kind of the way we know them in 2023.
01:35What can you tell me about these ones?
01:36Just having a conversation about a shoe like this.
01:38It's actually a basketball shoe from back in the olden days.
01:42But you see sneakers like this, these clean whites in the market everywhere nowadays.
01:47And I think it's overlooked at how much basketball is in our world.
01:52So we talked a bit about some old school basketball sneakers here.
01:56We're on to the more new ones.
01:57Leaning, wave away. Tell me about these ones.
01:59Brand new in terms of in the Western market, especially in Australia.
02:04It hasn't been offered before.
02:05I will say this, that once I picked up the sneaker and saw it for myself,
02:10it's hard to argue against this sneaker being pound for pound one of the best in the market.
02:15I'm holding the Jimmy Butler right now. I play in this shoe.
02:18It's an amazing sneaker.
02:20And then another one would have been the Way of Wade All City,
02:23which has been doing really cool things.
02:25So that's the leanings, but KDs, big star, big jersey sales, no doubt.
02:30Big shoe sales?
02:31Massive, probably our most consistent sneaker over the years.
02:35Just as an example, a lot of the NBL guys wearing them.
02:38Hooked up Jonah Bolden with a pair. Shout out, Jonah.
02:41Yeah, loving the cushioning in these.
02:44I mean, I don't have to talk too much about what Nike's always been the benchmark
02:48for basketball.
02:50KD can't really go wrong with it.
02:51Mello's here.
02:52These ones are a bit of a funky colour, but I do like them.
02:54That's the Mello MB1 Retro.
02:57So it's a breast cancer awareness.
02:58Looks a little bit orange in person, but it's got this really bright pink tinge to it.
03:04And then these ones below.
03:05So that's your La France.
03:06So Mello's brand collabed with Puma.
03:10Launched colourway so far in the market.
03:12It's this green one going crazy.
03:14But I can tell you right now, there's a lot of heat coming.
03:17You should see some of the colourways that are about to come out for the threes.
03:20So you've got a bit of a sneaky first glance?
03:23Yeah.
03:24I have to sign all these NDAs when I'm placing the orders.
03:27But yeah, I've got a bit of a heads up of what's coming.
03:30And yeah, I know it's going to hit well.
03:32I mean, if it's doing anything what the ones and the twos did,
03:35these threes are going to do some crazy things.
03:39Let's talk 2023 season.
03:41Who are the Aussies that we should be looking out for?
03:43Josh Screen.
03:44I think he's really primed for a breakout season.
03:47I say breakout season, but he actually had a great season.
03:49He just came off.
03:50So I think he's one to watch for.
03:52Josh Giddy.
03:53I mean, everyone has got high hopes on Giddy continuing to do what he does.
03:57So I would be shocked if Giddy doesn't have another great year.
04:00He's one of those guys that facilitates and makes other players so much better.
04:03So he's a great fit for a young team with a lot of talent around him.
04:06And then you look at someone like Dyson, guys that are really like,
04:10no one's talking about him right now,
04:12but then the season starts and we won't be able to unsee it.
04:15So I think someone like Dyson, young talent.
04:18He's going to be one of the boomers for the future.
04:20And I'm really excited to watch his journey moving forward.
