00:00A large part of what we love about luxury watches is the history behind each brand.
00:05Longines is celebrating 190 years at the forefront of Swiss watchmaking with a series of exclusive
00:11timepieces from their Master Collection, a collection renowned for meticulous workmanship
00:16and detail. Let's take a close-up look at the Longines Master Collection 190th Anniversary
00:22timepiece. This is a silver model. Longines has doubled down on the elegance and simplicity of
00:28its core models with the new editions offering builds that are slim, traditional and understated.
00:33With a case just 40mm in diameter and 9.35mm thick, they slide effortlessly under a shirt cuff.
00:40The lug distance is 21mm. This standard model sports a stainless steel case while the two limited
00:46editions come in 18k gold and rose gold with only 190 available each. It features an in-house automatic
00:53movement, calibre L888. A really nice touch are the blued steel hands which mark the passing hours,
00:59minutes and seconds. The hour markers are engraved arabic numerals. My favourite detail is the display
01:04case back with sapphire crystal. It also features a commemorative engraving. Complementing each watch
01:10is an alligator leather strap with triple safety folding clasp and push piece opening mechanism.
01:15Calf leather on the underside. Worth noting, it is water resistant to 3 bar which is the equivalent of
01:2130 meters. We don't recommend swimming with it though. This is an extremely wearable dress watch,
01:30elegant in its simplicity and meticulous in its craftsmanship.
