00:05The world outside of my eyes is a world that I have to figure out how to shape and guide

00:11children through. I think that it's become a lens that I see everything through now.
00:15Fatherhood has definitely changed me for the better. It's made me slow down and kind of relax
00:22and work on somebody else's pace at certain times which is not always easy. I guess I'm
00:28still learning how it's changing me but I just like the idea of like raising a
00:32girl who can kick some ass and you know strong and smart and can kick some ass.
00:37The simplest thing about fatherhood that I've ever learned was just showing up is
00:42everything and being there and figuring it out. If I had a Father's Day wish for my
00:48daughter it would be for her to live without any fear. She should just go
00:52forth in this world knowing that life's not that bad, life's not that scary and
00:56she can do it. She can take anything on. I want them to be ballsier than I was.
01:02You know I want them to be risk takers and be heartbreakers and have fun.
01:09It's true that the world's a pretty sexist place. You know we're we're gonna try to
01:13smash the patriarchy. I would hope that we can do it fast enough so that Adeline
01:17doesn't have to suffer through any of that kind of stuff.
01:23I mean my wish for Cora on Father's Day and any day is that she be happy and that
01:27she be content with who she is and what she's doing and where she is and that
01:30she just be comfortable and happy in her life. No matter what she is now whatever
01:34she's going to be you know I'm she's gonna be my little girl.
