00:06show you some tips and tricks on second-hand shopping. So let's head inside.
00:17So here are my three tips for thrift shopping slash consignment shopping. My
00:22first tip is to not be overwhelmed by all the different things that you see.
00:27So opposed to just looking rack after rack, I think the best thing is to look at
00:32the displays first. When I first go inside a thrift store or consignment store, my
00:37first thing is to beeline to the shoes because shoes are super easy for me to
00:41look at. They're all laid out, they're small, compact, you see your size right away
00:45and the design is just right in front of you. I would recommend coming on a day
00:49where you're just completely free because you don't want to rush this process.
00:57So my next tip is to never rule out a certain size or a certain length. Always
01:02know that you can customize something. So for example, I found this really amazing
01:07maxi dress, but it's pretty freaking long, especially for my frame. As I've said a
01:13million times, I'm five foot one, so maxi dresses can be a little bit tricky on me.
01:17But what you can do is just get a pair of scissors, hack it off and have it be more
01:23flattering to your figure. And this is a really great dress because it has a
01:26cincher as well. So you can kind of like play with where you want it to kind of hug
01:31your curves.
01:35So my last tip is to not rule out the men's section because the men's section can have
01:41some really amazing things. Every time I go there, I'm always praying for a really cool
01:46graphic tee or a band shirt because that's where things are really worn in, kind of oversized,
01:51loose and comfortable. And you can also even find flannel there. I feel like a lot of styles
01:56are unisex, so men and women can rock the same style.
