00:00Hey guys, I'm Lucy Fink and today we're talking about relationships.
00:04Whether you're a monogamist, a serial dater, or just somebody's casual f*** buddy, we all
00:09know that relationships can be complicated.
00:12Do you really need to know everything about your partner?
00:15And how many partners is too many partners?
00:18Can a long distance relationship be successful?
00:20As someone who was in one for four years, I would say so.
00:23So now I'm taking all these questions and more to the streets of New York because I
00:28want to know what do you think about relationships?
00:31Are you in a relationship?
00:33Uh, yes I am in a relationship.
00:34How long has it been?
00:37Ooh, she's probably going to hate me for this, but uh, um, it's kind of weird.
00:42Catherine?
00:43He doesn't know how long it's been.
00:45How long has it been?
00:47Uh, like a month.
00:49A month?
00:50A month.
00:51Do you guys know everything about each other already?
00:55No.
00:55Fifty three and a half years.
00:57Fifty three and a half years.
00:58Sixty.
00:59Is it all roses and smiles every day?
01:01No, of course not.
01:02I'll be married 21 years in June.
01:04Do you use any sort of like dating apps?
01:06Oh my god, there's so many.
01:07There's, okay, Tinder, Hinge, Coffee Meets Bagel, which I don't even know what that is.
01:13Is that like a Jewish app?
01:14I, she didn't know.
01:16I was just on OkCupid.
01:17Did you use it?
01:18He was the first one I started talking to.
01:20Tinder.
01:22OkCupid.
01:23I was trying to do Bumble, but I don't have an iPhone.
01:25I had an Android.
01:26You're in church.
01:27I was 14.
01:29Choose your first and only love.
01:30Yes.
01:31I come from the generation of non-apps.
01:35No Tinder.
01:37Have you had a casual f**k buddy here and again?
01:41No.
01:42I was attached, but I have friends that did that.
01:44You hang out, you're partying, you get with this person, and the next day was no hard feelings.
01:48Yeah, yeah, f**k buddy is the new version of dating, most definitely.
01:54And that's been good?
01:55Yeah.
01:55I did have a f**k buddy, but he peed in my bed three times, so I don't do f**k buddies
02:02anymore.
02:02Woo!
02:04Have you ever cheated on somebody in a relationship?
02:07No.
02:07No.
02:08No, I've not cheated on you.
02:09Yeah, I did.
02:11I was really trying to break up with him and he didn't take the hint, so I was like, you
02:15know what, so I just started dating someone else, and then literally that's who I ended
02:19up marrying.
02:20Cheating is defined differently by everyone, so I think the best way to know whether or
02:23not you're cheating is to have that conversation of like, what do you consider cheating?
02:27Would you stay with somebody who cheated on you?
02:30I wish I could say that I wouldn't, but I did.
02:34It all depends on like context, on like why they did it or something.
02:38It's my responsibility to me to not cheat.
02:40It happened to me before and I gave him a second chance.
02:42If one of you had to move across the country, would you guys stay together and do long distance?
02:46Um, yes.
02:47I think that, you know, long distance doesn't really determine like the relationship that
02:51you have with someone and you really love that person.
02:53Oh God, I guess like a lot of Skype.
02:56Distance doesn't really matter.
02:58What does love mean to you?
02:59Being able to endure.
03:01For me it's kind of like full disclosure.
03:03It's a complimentary energy.
03:05It's all about energy for me.
03:07That's a tough question.
03:08What does love mean to me?
03:10Um...
03:11Yes.
03:11A commitment that...
03:13Whatever it takes.
03:14Whatever it takes.
03:15It's always compromises.
03:17Always meeting in the middle.
03:18Putting them before absolutely even yourself.
03:22So as it turns out, Paris is not the only city of love.
03:26New Yorkers hate cheating, although some of them have done it themselves.
03:30Love pretty much means the same thing to everyone.
03:32And as the couple that's been married for over 50 years said,
03:35No Tinder!
03:37Now we want to know, what do you think about relationships?
03:40Comment below and let us know.
