00:18and so I was always the new kid in school, and that can be a really hard place to be
00:22because everyone is already kind of in their clique.
00:24I got into beauty at first when I was in junior high.
00:29It was a way to make myself look very tough.
00:32Like, I used to take black eyeliner and just smudge it underneath my eyes,
00:35and it wasn't really, you know, to look pretty.
00:37It was kind of like, I'm tough.
00:39Of course, some people were not very into it, but I didn't really know where I fit in yet.
00:46That's when I started my YouTube channel
00:48because I just wanted to reach out and connect with someone that was like me.
00:52It worked.
00:53I found a community and I found a family even though I didn't have that at school.
00:56I always loved myself, but I would say the confidence in my beauty has evolved over time.
