00:00After all the speculation, the answer to the summer of LeBron finally here.
00:04At age 41, the King has agreed to a two-year, $8 million deal with the Philadelphia 76ers,
00:13locking arms with Tyrese Maxey and Jalen Brown and V.J. Edgecombe and Joel Embiid.
00:19I love it. I absolutely, positively love it.
00:22Good for LeBron. Great for LeBron.
00:25I give LeBron James a ton of credit.
00:28In no universe is this ring-chasing.
00:32The Philadelphia 76ers haven't won a championship in 43 years.
00:38LeBron James could have decided to go somewhere else, Golden State.
00:42And that's what I wanted to see from a fun perspective.
00:46Let him and Steph play together.
00:48He could have gone somewhere where there wasn't any kind of championship pressure.
00:52James took to Twitter late on Friday after the announcement,
00:55and he said it's all about bringing a championship to Philadelphia.
01:00Because LeBron James, being an all-time great player and winner and warrior,
01:06an example in terms of practice habits and championship qualities, I think that can help Joel Embiid.
01:13They are now 9-1 to win a championship with the fourth-best odds in the NBA to win a
01:20title this year.
01:21And remember this about LeBron.
01:23We talked about this, and he signed a two-year deal for $8 million total.
01:28LeBron historically always wins a championship in year two.
01:32I give LeBron a ton of credit for making this decision.
01:37LeBron James still, and we saw this last year in L.A., has a ton of gas left in the
01:42tank.
01:42LeBron wanted the smoke.
01:44He wanted the action.
01:45He wanted the heat.
01:45And I love it.
01:47When you have someone like Jalen Brown,
01:49and you have someone like Jalen Brown with LeBron James,
01:53with Tyrese Maxey, with Vijay Edgecombe,
01:56I think this team is going to be terrific.
01:59Absolutely terrific.
