00:04I wanted to tell you about a special month that we have going on on our website,
00:08hellomagazine.com at the moment, as we celebrate the life of Diana, the Princess of Wales.
00:14And part of this, we're sharing some of our memories of Diana.
00:18And I have a special little memory that I wanted to share with you.
00:22It happened to be my birthday on the 29th of July, 1981.
00:27I turned six and I actually wrote to Diana and the Prince of Wales at Buckingham Palace
00:34to let them know that I was celebrating a special day on the day that they got married,
00:39which was also the 29th of July, 1981.
00:42And I received a letter back from Buckingham Palace, very excitingly.
00:47It came on Buckingham Palace headed paper and it says,
00:50Dear Rosie, the Prince of Wales and the Lady Diana Spencer have asked me to convey their best wishes
00:55for your celebration on the 29th of July, 1981.
00:59His Royal Highness and the Lady Diana wish you a very happy day.
01:04Yours sincerely, Philippa Lane, who must have been the lady in waiting.
01:08So I was extremely excited as a little six-year-old to receive this.
01:12And my mother very carefully kept it in a scrapbook at home,
01:16along with this little invitation, which was to my sixth birthday party.
01:21It's a little princess there, I think, wearing a crown.
01:24And it says, You're invited to Rosie's Royal Birthday Lunch on the 29th of July.
01:31So, and oh, I actually have here as well a little drawing that I did,
01:35which says, Today is my birthday.
01:37And it is also the Royal Wedding, with a little picture there of Charles and Diana.
01:42And so this is something that, you know, I hold so dear now.
01:45To actually have a letter from Buckingham Palace with their names in it
01:49is something very special to me.
01:51I think I was always destined to have this job at Hello after receiving that.
01:54And we thought that it would be nice if we encouraged you to share your memories of Diana.
02:00Perhaps you had a brush with her.
02:01Maybe you were in a crowd when she made an appearance.
02:05Maybe you took a photo of her.
02:07Maybe you wrote to her as well.
