00:01We need more complex stories. I feel like we need more complex characters. We need characters
00:08with more humanity. I think that's why I was excited about Cliff as a character. I've done
00:16characters in my career that are rooted in their ethnicity, are rooted in where they come from in
00:23this country. And then playing someone like Cliff, who isn't sort of his persona, isn't necessarily
00:31defined by his ethnicity. I think both are exciting. You know, I'll always represent the
00:36border. That's where I come from. I'm from the border on both sides, from the Mexican side and
00:41from the Texas side. And I'll continue to represent the border as long as I live and all the work
00:47that
00:47I do. And to get to bring that with me onto a show like Task is really exciting. At the
00:52end of the
00:53day, it's a show about these two men who are so dedicated to their families. They'll do anything
01:01for their families. Our characters are garbage men by trade. So we went and did a little bit of
01:07training just to get to know the truck and get to know that line of work. And we hit it
01:13off right
01:13from the get-go. It was so easy. He made it so effortless. When you have a scene partner that
01:18is that good, it sort of makes your job effortless. And Tom certainly is that kind of scene
01:25partner. We couldn't get on the trucks while they were moving. You have to have a license or you have
01:30to have, yeah. So we can only get on the trucks while they were, you know, static and not in
01:38motion.
01:39It's highly skilled work, which was really illuminating. The show is, you know, it's a crime
01:48thriller. It very much sits in a genre that's familiar to audiences. But the characters and
01:56the world are very much a part of Brad Inglesby, a part of his world. If anyone watched Mayor of
02:03Peacetown, I feel like we picked up where that show left off. And I hope that people who were
02:09fans of that show will come on board for our show. And if you weren't, and hopefully we can pick
02:14up new
02:14fans along the way. I think we need more Latinos in front of and behind the camera. I think there's
02:19still room for more growth. But I get inspired to see colleagues out there, not just on our show.
02:28I mean, on our show, we have Silvia Dionisio, we have Dominic Colon, we have Coral Peña, we have
02:33Elvis Nolasco. There's a lot of us in front of and behind the camera as well. But also seeing people,
02:40you know, in other realms of the industry and other shows and other movies. I think we need more.
02:46So I'm excited by the numbers on our show and hopefully we'll see more in years to come.
