00:00Story time with Fergie and Friends.
00:04Rosie, my goodness, Fergie and Friends is so lucky to have you and Hibbo.
00:08Thank you. Thank you so much.
00:10I can't believe you've done this.
00:12You're so busy doing what you're doing and yet you surely are hashtag kindness
00:17because that's what we believe, isn't it?
00:20And thank you so much, Rosie and Hibbo, for doing this for Fergie and Friends.
00:24Over to you.
00:25Hello, Sarah and everyone. It's Rosie.
00:27Thank you so much for asking Hibbo and I to read a story for Fergie and Friends.
00:33Very excited.
00:34And the book we've chosen is Odd Dog Out by Rob Biddulph.
00:41For busy dogs, a busy day.
00:44Of busy work and busy play.
00:49Swimmer, sailor, soldier, scout.
00:53They all blend in.
00:55No dog stands out.
00:57But wait, look closer.
01:00Can you see one dog behaving differently?
01:04Someone on this busy street is dancing to a different beat.
01:11When they fly high, this dog flies low.
01:17When they say kick, this dog says throw.
01:21It's very sad.
01:22But this small dog does not fit in.
01:27It's true, she sniffs.
01:29I've tried my best.
01:30But I'm not made like all the rest.
01:33And that's why I've made up my mind.
01:35To leave this town, my home, behind.
01:39On her own and out of place, she sighs a sigh and packs her case.
01:47Through winter, springtime, summer and fall.
01:53From ocean deep, she walks till she can walk no more.
01:59Is this the place she's looking for?
02:03Well, bless my bow wow.
02:05Can it be a hundred others just like me?
02:10I play guitar.
02:12I ride a bike.
02:13I fit right in.
02:15We are all alike.
02:17But wait, look closer.
02:20Can you see one dog behaving differently?
02:24Somebody this afternoon is whistling to a different tune.
02:32Here's something she knows all about.
02:34A classic case of old dog out.
02:36Poor thing, she says.
02:38I feel for you.
02:39I once was an outsider too.
02:44Oh, not at all.
02:45You've got it wrong.
02:47I really feel like I belong.
02:49I have to stand out from the crowd.
02:52And so should you.
02:54Stand tall, be proud.
02:56Her tummy flips.
02:57Her belly flops.
02:58As finally the penny drops.
03:01That dog is right.
03:03It's plain to see.
03:04There's nothing wrong with being me.
03:07Her little tail begins to wag.
03:09She smiles a smile and grabs her bag.
03:15I'm sorry, but I have to fly.
03:18Good luck, my friend.
03:19They wave goodbye.
03:21From night and moon to the light and the sun.
03:25Her journey home just begun.
03:28For busy dogs, a busy day.
03:31But look who's back.
03:33Hip, hip, hooray.
03:36They cheer.
03:38They clap.
03:39They whoop.
03:40They shout.
03:40We really missed our old dog out.
03:43You've made us all appreciate that being different is really great.
03:47It's true.
03:49It's true.
03:49Look closer.
03:50Can you see more dogs behaving differently?
03:54Each one a doggy superstar.
03:57So blaze a trail.
03:59Be who you are.
04:02And be proud of it.
04:04What a great story.
04:05We're Fergie and friends.
04:08We're Fergie and friends.
