00:19So we have 46 acres here. Right now we have 92 doors. It's about 68,000 square feet of dock.
00:26Since FedEx Freight moved to Lakeville, they have seen remarkable growth and progress.
00:30They credit Lakeville's ideal location and strong workforce for their success.
00:34Two years ago when we moved here we had 114 employees.
00:38And we're knocking on the door at 200. We're experiencing 10% growth year over year.
00:44Business is booming, which is a good thing to have. Staffing is a part of that.
00:48And that kind of ties into the reason we picked Lakeville to build this center.
00:52Easy access to the interstates. And then also the labor force.
00:57You have a strong labor community here. Great selection of folks that we can draw in to come work here.

01:07FedEx has always made safety its number one focus.
01:10Safety is first and foremost in everything that we do.
01:13Whether it be with our drivers or dock workers.
01:16Understanding that when we put our drivers on the road,
01:19they're not just responsible for their safety, but they're responsible for the safety of the motoring public.
01:24We put a lot of emphasis in that.
01:26We've got a lot of advanced technology in our trucks to help prevent accidents.
01:30And we do constant recurrent education with both drivers, dock workers.
01:34Every employee here goes through extensive training.
01:37And again, it's a first and foremost thing.
01:39When we have meetings with our employees, we always start with a safety message.
01:43We're constantly looking to be on a cutting edge in the forefront of technology in our industry.
01:48FedEx also offers a driver training program, which gives new drivers one-on-one instruction to pass their CDL.
01:54About 75% of the drivers we have at this location went through our driver training program.
01:58So we've had a lot more success bringing folks on, teaching them how to drive.
02:03Once you get your CDL to be a driver here, you also have to have your hazmat endorsement and your
02:07tanker endorsement.
02:09So they're pretty well trained.
02:11They got a lot of training and a lot of certification before they ever step behind the wheel.
02:15The city of Lakeville looks forward to furthering its partnership with FedEx Freight in the coming years as the company
