00:00Hey, Franklin here. Come in. Take a seat. Today, I want to talk about something simple.
00:06Something I am still learning. Doing a little every day. For a long time, I thought I needed
00:11to do a lot to make progress. If I wanted to start a project, I wanted to work on it
00:16for hours. If I
00:17wanted to make videos, I wanted to make many videos. If I wanted to write, I wanted to write a
00:22lot. If
00:23I wanted to get better at something, I wanted to practice for a long time. And sometimes, I did.
00:28One day, I had a lot of energy. I worked for three hours. I felt good. I thought,
00:32look at me. I am finally doing it. But then, the next day, I was tired. The next day, I
00:37was busy.
00:38Then, I missed another day. And slowly, I stopped. Again. I had a lot of energy for one day,
00:44but not enough for every day. And I started to understand something. Doing a lot is not always
00:49the same as making progress. Sometimes, doing less is what helps us continue. Imagine you want to
00:55start a YouTube channel. You have a big idea. You want a great camera, a great logo, a great
01:01background, a great video. You spend days thinking about everything. And then, you never make the
01:07first video. Now, imagine something different. You make a simple video. The camera is not perfect.
01:13The room is not perfect. Your voice is not perfect. The video is not perfect. But, you make it.
01:18Then, next week, you make another one. Then, another. Then, another. The first video may be bad.
01:25The second may still be bad. But, after 10 videos, you know more. After 20, you are better. After 50,
01:32you may look back at the first video and laugh. And that is the point. You cannot improve something
01:39you never start. Your first try does not need to be amazing. It only needs to be real. And I
01:45think this
01:45is where consistency becomes important. Consistency is not about doing something huge every day. It is
01:51about keeping the door open. You do something small. Then, you come back. Then, you do it again
01:56and again. Maybe today, you only have 20 minutes. Okay. Use 20 minutes. Tomorrow, maybe you have one
02:03hour. Great. Use one hour. The important thing is not the number. The important thing is that you come
02:09back. Because, I think we sometimes make our goals too big. We say, I need to work for three hours.
02:15I need to finish this today. I need to change everything. And when the goal feels too big,
02:22we do nothing. So, now, I try something different. I ask myself, what is the smallest thing I can do
02:28today? Maybe I can write one page. Maybe I can edit one minute of a video. Maybe I can read
02:3510 pages.
02:35Maybe I can clean one part of my room. Maybe I can work on my project for 15 minutes. 15
02:41minutes
02:42sounds small. But 15 minutes is not zero. And zero is the real problem. Because one small action gives
02:49me something. It gives me movement. It gives me practice. It gives me a reason to come back tomorrow.
02:56And slowly, small actions become something bigger. Think about building a house. You do not build the
03:02whole house in one minute. You put one thing here. Another thing there. Then another. One small
03:09action does not look impressive. But after many small actions, you have something. The same thing
03:15happens with our goals. A project. A business. A skill. A book. A YouTube channel. A new habit. At the
03:24beginning,
03:25it looks like nothing. It looks like nothing. But that is normal. The beginning is supposed to look small.
03:30And sometimes, you will not see progress. You will work for a week and think nothing changed.
03:39You work another week and still think nothing changed. But something may be happening.
03:45You are learning. You are practicing. You are becoming faster. You are making fewer mistakes.
03:53You just don't see it yet. Progress is not always easy to see. Sometimes, you only see it when you
04:01look
04:01back. And that is why I like the idea of small steps. Because I don't need to see a big
04:07change today.
04:08I only need to know, did I move forward? Even a little. If the answer is yes, that is enough.
04:15And there is something else I want to remember. Missing one day is not the end. Maybe you planned
04:21to work on your project today, but you didn't. Okay. Tomorrow is another day. Don't turn one bad day
04:29into one bad month. Don't say, I failed. Just say, okay, I will come back. That is discipline too.
04:38Coming back. Because life will not always be easy. Some days will be busy. Some days will be boring.
04:44Some days you will have no energy. Some days you will want to do nothing. You don't need to fight
04:49every bad day. Sometimes, you just need to do something small. And then rest. The goal is not to be
04:55perfect. The goal is to stay in the game. Because I would rather move slowly and then stop completely.
05:00I would rather make one video every week than plan 100 videos and make none. I would rather write one
05:06page
05:07every day than write 20 pages once and never write again. I would rather build something slowly than
05:14wait for the perfect moment. Because the perfect moment is very easy to wait for. You can wait forever.
05:20But a small action, you can do that today. Right now. And maybe that's the real secret. Not doing more.
05:27Not trying to become a different person overnight. Just becoming a little better. And then doing it
05:33again. One day. Then another. Then another. And after some time, you look back. And you realize I actually
05:41built something. Not because you had one amazing day. But because you had many normal days. That is
05:47what I want. Not perfect days. Normal days. Days where I do a little. Days where I continue. Days where
05:55I
05:55don't feel special. I just show up. Because sometimes, the boring work is the work that changes us.
06:02Nobody sees the small steps. Nobody sees the 10 minutes. Nobody sees the first bad video. Nobody
06:09sees the first page. Nobody sees the small work you do when you are tired. But you see it. And
06:15one day,
06:16the result will show it too. So if you have a project right now, don't think about the whole project.
06:22Don't think about the next six months. Don't think about everything you need to do. Ask yourself one
06:27question. What can I do today? Not everything. Just something. Write one page. Record one minute. Make one
06:34change. Learn one thing. Take one step. Then stop if you need to. Tomorrow, take another step. And the next
06:41day,
06:41another. That may feel slow. But slow is still moving. And moving is better than waiting. So,
06:47if you are starting something new, don't worry if it looks small. Don't worry if nobody sees it. Don't
06:53worry if you are not very good yet. You are not supposed to be good at the beginning. You are
06:57supposed to begin. And then, keep going. Little by little. Day by day. Step by step. Until one day,
07:05you look back and realize that all those small steps were taking you somewhere. So, Franklin,
07:11don't try to do everything today. Just do one small thing. Then rest. Tomorrow, we continue.
07:19No pressure. No perfect plan. Just one step. And another. Take care of yourself. Thank you for
07:27spending these few minutes with me. I'll see you next time. Keep going.
