Three of director Jeffrey Jeturian's films are included in Summit Books' 100 Sine.Film. Pelikula: The 100+ Greatest Movies of Philippine Cinema—Pila Balde, Tuhog, and Kubrador. The director thanks the book's co-author, Jo-Ann Q. Maglipon, for the honor despite her first reaction to Kubrador. Direk Jeffrey says he was told she walked out of his film when it was first screened at CCP (Cultural Center of the Philippines). Maglipon later explained why she walked out of the theater where Kubrador was screened.

00:05You have three films here, Pilabalde, Tuhog, Cobrador.
00:10They are all gritty, they all make social commentary, they all evoke dirty street slum life,
00:18but somehow they are not preachy, they are not heavy, heavy, dark, dark.
00:23You get my drift. Because personally, you come away from it feeling like life is not so bad.
00:31That life is irreverent, but it straightens itself out in the end.
00:35Did I read your films right?
00:37Yeah, correct. But first, let me thank you for inviting me here and including three of my films in your
00:45Chosen 100.
00:50Thank you for inviting me to have a pageant.
00:57I'm not ready for this presentation.
00:58I'm serious about Q&A. I'm not ready.
01:02But anyway, my two films, Pilabalde and Tuhog, they were not the best of their titles.
01:12They were both written by Binglao and Cobrador, which I was told when it was shown at the CCT,
01:21when it premiered at Cinemalaya, you walked out because you didn't like it.
01:31But anyway, you included it in your 100.
01:43I cannot watch it again because it will make me dizzy again.
01:48Even if it was written by Ralph Stonehoover, it was heavily supervised by Binglao.
01:54So, yung three films ko, the credit should be given to Binglao.
02:00And it's my honor and privilege to be able to direct all three scripts.
02:08But pagdating naman sa treatment ng films ko na light and hindi heavy-handed,
02:15and call ko na yun as director.
02:20Naniniwala kasi ako na humor resonates well with the Filipino audience.

02:30Naniniwala kasi ako na humor resonates well with the Filipino audience.
02:35And it is an effective way to convey the filmmaker's message na hindi niraram down the throats ng audience natin.
02:51Kaya siguro yung...
02:54Kaya siguro ang mga films ko, ang category nila is dramedy or satire.
03:01I love doing satires.
03:03I may look harmless, but I am actually irreverent.
03:07So, ayun...
03:14Ayun...
03:18I wanted officially said I liked Cobrador.
03:22I just got dizzy.
03:37I love you.
03:38Let me see.
03:38Let me see.
03:38I love you.
