🥷 The Hidden Reason Why We Stay Silent in Meetings...

Have you ever stayed silent… even when you had a brilliant question? 🤫

Sometimes silence is not a lack of curiosity, ideas, or interest. Sometimes, it is a survival mechanism we learned a long time ago.

Many of us grew up or worked in environments where asking questions was not encouraged. Where staying quiet felt much safer than speaking up or risking being noticed.

And then one day, we enter a new, safe space where a manager or a partner says: “Any questions?” But our body's first automatic instinct is still complete silence. Not because we have nothing to say… but because our mind is still learning that it is finally safe to speak.

This is the first story in a series about finding our voice, rebuilding confidence, and learning that our questions matter. 🌱

00:00They said, any questions? And I stayed silent.
00:03Back then, I didn't know that silence can mean different things.
00:06To some people, it means confidence. To others, thinking or respect.
00:11But for some of us, it was learned.
00:13Learned in places where speaking up was not always safe.
00:16Where it was easier to stay quiet than to risk being wrong.
00:19Or noticed.
00:21So now, even when it's safe, the silence sometimes stays.
00:25Not because there's nothing to say.
00:26But because the body remembers what the mind has already left behind.
